Hi there,
I am about to launch some Google display campaigns using responsive display ads. Designing the images though I am a bit confused about what sizes and formats I should use.
In the official guide on how to create responsive display ads Google recommends the following:
Include the five most popular standard image sizes.
Why: The top five sizes (300 x 250, 728 x 90, 160 x 600, 320 x 50, 300 x 600) can be automatically resized to fit 95% of the available placements across 3M+ apps and websites.
Whereas in a different support article Google basically tells you to go as large as possible
Landscape. If you choose the upload option, keep in mind that your landscape image should have a ratio of 1.91:1 and be greater than 600 x 314. The file size limit is 5120KB.
Square. If you choose the upload option, keep in mind that your square (1:1) image should be greater than 300 x 300. The file size limit is 5120KB.
In the end it is a matter of testing of course but I was wondering if anyone can go as far as sharing their experience or giving a recommendation.
Many thanks,
Max
