How do I make just one individual google doc available offline?
To address the question in the screenshot: Will it download ALL your Google Docs? No. Turning on offline mode enables the offline extension/feature for your browser account, but Google Drive only automatically caches a limited number of your most recent files to save space, not your entire Drive history. How to make only ONE specific document available offline: Step 1: Click Turn on when that prompt appears. This enables the Google Docs Offline system extension in your Chrome/Edge browser. Step 2: Open Google Drive. Step 3: Locate the specific document, right-click it (or click the three dots icon next to it), and toggle on Available offline. Tip: Open the file once while still connected to the Wi-Fi right before your flight to make sure the latest version is fully loaded into offline storage. More on reddit.com

I was experimenting with creating offline google doc while I had no internet connection, but couldn't so I figured it was because I didn't have the "Google Docs Offline" chrome extension. However, when I go to the Chrome webstore, I am unable to find the extension. Has it been deprecated?
If so, is there a way to create a new google doc as opposed to edit an existing one? Thanks.

I want to make just this one google doc “available offline” so I can make edits without internet (flying this weekend and don’t trust plane wifi to work).
When I go to do so (file > make available offline), a popup appears that says “turn on offline for all files? Turn on offline to access files without an internet connection. Not recommended on public or shared computers.”
I don’t wanna save every single document to my computer to make available offline (seems like a storage issue?). Does this popup mean it’ll make ALL of my docs available offline?? If so, how do I just make ONE doc available offline??

You have to turn offline access on first, but that doesn’t mean every Doc gets downloaded. After that you can mark just the one file “Available offline.”
