Google doesn't allow shared office spaces for their GMB profiles. If you're not going to have an office address for the public, the best you can do is list yourself as a service based business. This will require you to provide Google your home address for verification, but you can have it hidden from public view. More on reddit.com

If you Google your exact business name and it isn't showing up, there can be a few factors at play. You can DM me the listing if you want. But generally its because of the keywords in the name that other businesses are ranking for. Let's say your name is "Trusted AC Repairs". Well Google will then output AC companies besides yours that are ranking for those keywords. I'm not saying this will be the case with your profile, but it might be. With the phone number, make sure you have the new phone number on your website. Then ask someone you know who uses Google Maps a lot to find your listing, suggest an edit, and input the new phone number there. That could push the edit through. I'm not sure if there's anything in the GBP terms of service that would disallow you to, so don't take my word for it. But I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use your own Google account to create the GBP listing for him? If your friend gives you permission to do so, and hands you the code on the postcard to verify the listing, I don't see any problem with that. Then afterwards you can add his Gmail account (if he has one) as an owner of the location.

Please be apprised that you may create the profile using your own Gmail address. However, once it's created, you may then transfer the ownership of the business to him using the below mentioned steps and be a manager to this profile.
On your computer, sign in to manage your Business Profile..
If you have multiple profiles, open the profile you want to manage.
In the left menu, click Users.
Select the user you want to be the new Primary owner. To the right of their name, click the box.
Select “Primary owner.”
This option only displays if you're the Primary owner of the Business Profile.
Click Transfer Done. Primary ownership transfers to the new owner immediately.
If you’re the only user associated with your profile, you can add more owners and managers.

I have an online business and want to create a Googlee Business Profile/Google My Business Profile (what's the difference??).
My main goal is for our customers to leave Google reviews for us.
I already have a Google Ads account and I want to make sure it gets connected to my Google My Business Profile afterwards.
I am planning to get a business address at a co-working space but it may not be enough (it'll just be an address and I'm not renting an office).
How do online businesses set up a Google My Business account if we don't have a physical address? How do we get verified without a physical office (ie. can't take a video of the office)?
