I have google pay set up in my phone, and google creates a virtual credit card number for each of my credit cards, so whenever I make a purchase with google pay, the merchant actually charges the virtual card, then google charges my real card that associates with this virtual card number, it's safer because merchants would have no idea what my real card number is. My question is, how do I find out the full virtual card number that google created for my cards ? In google pay, I can only see the last 4 digits. Because I would like to use the virtual card number to make online purchases whenever a website doesn't accept google pay or paypal.
My Google Pixel's contactless payment function uses Google Pay. I was able to setup my physical card for contactless payments using my phone. I can successfully add my virtual cards to Google Pay, but I cannot enable them for contactless payment. Each time I attempt to I receive this error:
I was under the assumption that setting up virtual cards for contactless payment in Google Pay was possible. Has anyone been successful with this?

I'm new to revolut and when I first signed up I had a virtual card that was in my Google wallet untill my physical card arrived.
Now the physical card is here I've also added that too my Google wallet so now I have 2 cards in my wallet.
What's the difference between them? Can I delete the virtual card from my Google wallet now the physical one has come and has been added?
I lost my debit card and the only information I have of it it's on google play, any idea on how can I get the information out of it? is it even possible?
The title is the TL;DR
Problem: I need to register my credit card number with a specific retailer, so that my purchases and paperless receipts are kept in my account with that retailer (Home Depot). Whenever I use Google Wallet and "tap to pay", the purchase is made using a virtual card number that Google automatically created when I connected my credit card as a payment method. Using the Wallet app on my Pixel, and the web app, I can only see the last 4 digits of this virtual card number. I cannot find any way to view the entire 16-digit card number, expiration date, and security code. I called the card issuer, Capital One, and my problem was escalated through several levels of support. Support initially kept trying to direct me to the virtual card manager within the Capital One app, which I had already tried. The third level of escalated support told me that banks do not have access to virtual card numbers created directly by Google.
We are in a world where no one wants to keep paper receipts, so I do not think this is a small issue. An internet search reveals others have had this same problem. I'm hoping someone found a solution that I could not. TIA
Never used my google pay on TFL before but would like to use it but wonder how I benefit from fare capping as I imagine my phone will give a random card number each time I tap in / out so the system won't know where I started / ended my journey?
Anyone used it on the tube and what happened?
I used Google Wallet/Google Pay to make a business purchase on my phone. The vendor doesn't issue paper receipts but I can claim one via the website if I submit my card details.
As I paid using GPay it sent a virtual card number, not the number printed on my physical card.
All of Google's online 'help' info leads to dead-ends or outdated info, so I can't access my full virtual card number (only the last 4 digits).
Any ideas?
I'm trying to max out the discover 5% bonus for digital wallets, but the merchant's POS device doesn't work with NFC. They said that I could give them the virtual credit card number instead (and I have that). Does anyone know if this will still register as digital wallet? Thanks in advance!
I have one CC in google wallet set up as a virtual card on my windows laptop.
I would like to enable an automatic payment. Videos online claim that the virtual card number can be obtained by clicking on the card, hitting manage payments etc.
I don't see this at all. My CC is displayed there, it's actual exp date and last 4 digits are shown under the card, and the slider for virtual card is slid to blue. I'm assuming that's all there is to it?
So, I cannot access the virtual card number to use on a vendor's site for payment. But even that confuses me, I thought a new Virtual card number was issued for each online payment?
Can someone please point me to a solution?
the virtual cards i create from my banks are denied.
I don't like giving phone apps my actual credit card and i think i like it even less with google.
I had no trouble putting a virtual card on google pay but that's over.
Is there any way to do what i want to do or do i need a different pay system
Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternate? thanks.
I haven't used my card on my phone, I do have my banks app installed so that could potentially be it but I have no idea whatsoever, any help you guys can give?

If you ever payed for anything online, like let's say you bought something on Amazon using Google Chrome and you had to put your card details after you filled in the information and pay then Google Chrome would ask you if you'd like to save the card for next time, if you clicked yes it saves it and adds that card as a payment option for the Google account you're logged into on chrome. It happened to me recently, if you don't want them to have your card anymore just go to https://payments.google.com/gp/w/u/0/home/paymentmethods and make sure you're signed in with the right account and just click remove where it has your card.
Merchant requires sections of the card to issue a refund and the virtual card in the app only shows the last 4. They can't find the transaction under my original card since it was made with the virtual card. Is it possible to retrieve the full card number or not? Thanks.
(This happened with Samsung Pay BUT I would love to be to do what I asked with either that or Google Pay)
Almost three weeks ago, I bought stuff from the Apple Store with Samsung Pay but had trouble returning them last Friday. I have bought and returned many things with Samsung Pay with no issues, but the problem this time is that the virtual card number somehow changed (I have no idea how). The person helping me had to get the manager to figure out what to do, and I ended up having a check mailed to my house with the full amount (it already came). I'd rather not have to deal with all of that ever again.
I think my Google virtual card number/ account was compromised. I am wanting to change the virtual card number, not my physical card number. I swear there used to be an option for this IN Google Wallet or Google Pay. I can't find this option now. It used to be quick, painless, and seamless.
Could someone tell me if I can do this without removing and reading the card? Or just tell me how to do it?
Which of the two reveals more data about your purchases, or makes it likelier that third parties will acquire your data?
Iโve tried everything but I simply donโt see an option, as they mention on their website, to opt in for virtual card numbers after adding my card to Google Wallet.
Anyone whoโs enrolled theirs already, how do you do it?
I can't figure this out. At this one particular vendor, this has happened twice now. First time chalked up to me not paying attention. Second time I was very careful to verify was using correct card and it still messed up.
I place an order on this food truck's website and say I want to use Google pay. An option pops up for expresa checkout and it looks identical to what it looks like when pay for chick fil a through their site... Last four digits of my credit card + my email address. I finish the transaction and suddenly it's telling me "thanks for your purchase" and the credit card is now a completely different one. And it's not mine.
I think at first we narrowed it down to it being a credit card of my mother in law but she says she no longer has that card. However, the payment is going through on the vendor's end so whatever card this is, it's still active. To make this even weirder, when go into Google pay, this card isn't listed there as one of my payment options. I've got my old card, my current card, my husband's card.... But this visa with these last four digits that doesn't belong to me is nowhere to be found.
What is happening??? Does anyone know?
I know how to find the last 4 digits, but I have a merchant who wants to know the last 4 and the first 6 digits in order to find my purchase and give me a copy of the receipt.
It's a self-service, public web form they have put up on their website, where customers can enter the numbers to get their receipt. If I can find all the numbers to enter and have the system produce the receipt, I would. If it wasn't for Google not showing the required first 6 digits of the virtual account/card number. If I had used a physical card, instead of paying contactless with Google Pay, I would not be here now.
They say it's a receipt "copy" that I can download myself. But let me dispell their illusion, this will not be a duplication of some kind of "original recipt". It's the very first purchase receipt I am given, and at my own expense if I want a printed reproduction (hard copy). Because they are one of those smartass companies who went paperless to pretent they care about the environment, so they no longer issue the recipt on the spot like they used to. Which is technically illegal in this country. But they get away with SMS links to what we call simplified receipts, and those are not suitable in some use cases.
