A screen protector (which I recommend) is $19.99 and a NEW screen is I believe $49.99, although if you bought it at Best Buy & got the warranty maybe no cost to you, not sure. I ALWAYS secure my purchases at Best Buy and they do take excellent care of their customers.

I’ve decided it’s best to get a new device — something other than Google. It genuinely feels like their phones are intentionally designed to increase the chances of a cracked screen. The device slides off almost any surface, and the rounded edges seem deliberately engineered to make drops even more damaging. · What makes this worse is the outrageous cost of screen replacements. It’s hard not to believe Google factored those repair profits into their design choices. A premium phone should be built to last, not built to break. · Consumers can recognize when a product is intentionally fragile, and I certainly can. I’ll be switching to iPhone or Samsung, brands that — at the very least — don’t make me feel like I’m being set up to pay for expensive repairs later. · Also, to top it off, ifixit has a relationship with Google to get OEM replacement screens from them. It seems like they have a very lucrative business arrangement that benefits them both, but not the loyal consumer. · Because of this, Google lost my family's business.
