So the regular 6 is going to be 6.4 inches and the pro is going to be 6.7 inches. That is way too big in my view even the s20 and s21 are smaller. Plus from what i have seen of the renders it doesn’t appear to be curved in any significant way to make it easier to handle. Honestly i think 6 inches should be the max for any “regular” phone and then if people want a gigantic monster phone to beat someone over the head with they can get the pro, xl etc.
Of course that is only one concern, the other concern is the lack of a telephoto lens on the 6. This might be fine if your competition is apple but thats not the competition. In fact, the 6 would be the only flagship android (that i can think of) that wont come with a telephoto lens.
I know their is a lot of hype around the 6 series but im still pretty skeptical at this point about how good the finished product will actually be.
I’m tasked with converting our iOS designs to Android, and converting features to use more Android-native patterns. My question is - what is the viewport size of the Pixel 6? I know the resolution is 1080 x 2400, what I need the viewport size (for example the Pixel 4XL is 412 x 869).
I’ve had no luck with Google searches (right?), except for some post saying it was 360 wide, which would mean everything was blown up on this large of a phone.
So if anyone knows the viewport of a Pixel 6 (not the Pro!), I will be in your debt.
EDIT - I couldn’t let this go since I needed the data to continue the work. Found a section in the Material Design 2 (M2) site on Pixel Density (https://material.io/design/layout/pixel-density.html#pixel-density-on-android):
dp = (width in pixels * 160) / screen density dp = (1080 x 160) / 411), or 420 (rounded)
So a Pixel 6 has a viewport, in dp, of 420 x 933.
