Before you think of getting the Pixel 9a later this year, pls read this post first. So I think the Pixel 8a is great, even though some people say just get the Pixel 8. I'd say the Pixel 8a has 90% of the Pixel 8's features. If you're looking for an AI packed phone, this is the phone to go for. Pixel 8a's cameras are quite good. But you're missing out on some of the 8's features on the 8a such as Battery Share. The Pixel 8a's battery life isn't as good as the 8's battery life. You can expect the 9a to get most of the Pixel 9's features as well as this has been the trend that usually happens with A-series Pixels. If you want the latest and greatest for a lower price, then the 9a is a good choice. But the 8a is still great in 2025. So overall if you're not looking for the best or the most AI-packed phone, then the 8a is a great choice for you.
