It depends on how much money Google is willing to lose on the Pixel 6. Essentially this is a relaunch, so they'll probably spent a huge amount on marketing and not enough on device subsidization. This won't be a phone that comes close to breaking even on expenses. So it's really hard to even guess.
I think that we'll see really good carrier deals on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro at launch, but I expect the unlock price to be pretty expensive. My guess would be $999 pixel 6 Pro, $799 pixel 6, $400 pixel 5a. I hope I'm wrong though.
The question is, will Google address the resale value problem? Pixels have such a low resale value, and the only way to fix that is to spend a ridiculous amount of money. They could go to the Samsung route and offer huge trade in values for their own devices or they could offer long term services and perks exclusive to Pixel that are highly valuable. Either way I really hope Google attempts to address this.

Google rep teases Pixel 6 pricing: Pixel 6 Pro 'will be expensive', Pixel 6 will be in the 'upper segment'.
I'm genuinely worried that Google will be too over-confident regarding their asking price. If it's going to be a great phone, it has every right to be expensive, but please, Google, for the love of God, don't make it 'iPhone 12 Pro Max' levels expensive.
As a manufacturer who's pretty much completely unknown outside of Android enthusiast circles, you can't expect people to shell out $1000++ for a phone.
No matter how good the specs are, people won't be willing to pay Apple-like prices if you don't have Apple-like clout. Sony demonstrates that time and time again with their $1300 Xperia flagships.
