r/AndroidQuestions on Reddit: How does Google Play Data Safety work?
October 7, 2023 -

Google Plays data safety feature is something I look at a lot and alot of my apps seem to collect information and some don't at all, but the table itself for the app is often not specific enough, for example.. a tycoon game needs my location information.. why? How do they get it? And what am I risking? It sometimes tells you but there's no way of checking if they actually use it like that.. some are honest too, especially location info witch j have no idea how they get if they don't access my location. If Google gives it to them, if I turn off location for the app they no longer get it? Do my settings already stop background data being given to them when I'm not in the app?Alot of great apps and games I have have suspicious data requirements and low download counts and I do not know how they get the data and what I can do to stopgiving apps and games things they do not need. Like another app that monitors it (lol)

I just want to have a more in depth discussion about Google plays data safety..If that makes sense..
