No

It's not a problem. Sometimes it takes time to refund. It's happened to me earlier.

Nothing to worry about since you got your confirmation mail as also transaction is cancelled

If you wish to be doubly sure, you can call or chat with Google help from the Google Play Settings → Help and feedback

Edit: Just stumbled on this from Google Play Refund help. If the status shows cancelled it means

If the status is "Cancelled," the order was never charged and so you will not see a credit on your form of payment.

There is also a detailed table for refund timelines. Summary below :

  • Credit or debit card - 3 to 5 business days

  • Direct carrier billing (prepaid / pay-as-you-go) - 1 to 30 business days

  • Direct carrier billing (postpaid / contract) - 1 to 2 monthly statements

  • Google Play balance (gift card or credit balance or Google wallet - one business day

  • Online Banking - 1 to 10 business days

  • PayPal - 3 to 5 business days

r/streetfighterduel on Reddit: GooglePlay Refund Denied - What are my options?
March 19, 2023 -

As the subject states, I submitted a Google Play refund but it got denied. I reached out to Google Play Services, and they mentioned to reach out to the App developers, Crunchyroll. I sent them an email with the details but I have a strong feeling they're going to ignore it/reject it entirely.

Can I go to my Credit Card company and dispute the charge? Anyone else have any experience with this?

The real problem is that some people get refunded and some don't! There is no equality! There are plenty of whales that spend 5k$+ and defeated and destroyed all content, including taking spots in leaderboards and took all event prizes. But still got refunded in full! While other can't even get their 3$ back.

Yes, you can go to the credit card company have them stop payment. Most companies will do it without asking too many questions, but you will need to provide a reason such card being stolen. At which point, it that would be considered credit card fraud. You are unlikely to ever get audited, but be mindful that you will have to lie to your credit card company to get your money back. According to CR TOS - or basically any downloadable game TOS - refunds are not permitted so you are not entitled for a refund and they don't even have to look at your claim. CR did in some ways manipulate their TOS for their own benefit, but they also did not violate their own TOS. So really, there is no foot to stand on regardless of how jaded you feel. Whatever you tell your credit card company would be a lie and therefore is fraud. Also keep in mind, most credit card companies may only issue these type of stop charge once and only once. If you try it more, they may begin to audit or straight up cancel you card as well. In the long run, it could also hurt your credit score if you do attempt these type of charge backs too many times. Overall, if you didn't spend a ton of money, this likely isn't the sword to fall on.

Hello! Google play automatically purchased a one-year subscription that I thought I cancelled, I submites a ticket yesterday and this is the response I got, I read that the funds get sent back to my online banking account within 1-5 business days, but it isn't clarified in the response email, my subscription status on Google play says expired. Will I be getting a refund? Or should I contact the developer?

r/googleplay on Reddit: Google Play Refund Request Denied
April 25, 2025 -

I need help please. I recently tried a free trial on an editing app and forgot about it so then I was charged. I reached out to the app's email but they won't reply to me. I also requested a refund with Google Play an hour later that I was charged with a reason of 'accidental purchase' or something like that. I was left with this. I also contacted google play support and reported 'unauthorized transaction' and they said it is currently under review. Am I doomed? I need help 😭

Also, I don't understand google play's policy at all. In their policy states something that you are responsible for your account but then why would they put the 'accidental purchase' option? I'm literally shitting my pants rn I need the money back.
