I know this is an older thread but myvsearch for a solution has lead me here, but most of the solutions here did not work for me. After extensive searching i found this solution which worked for me on my samsung tablet. I hope it helps someone that is in the same boat. Cheers. Hi everyone! I followed the crumbs back to the source and found the root of this. This issue comes up after your phone unexpectedly shuts down (like when you run out of battery). Google Play Services is unable to shut down properly, so it becomes corrupted. You need to completely uninstall and then re-install Google Play Services to fix. The first thing you need to do is turn off all device administrators: -Open Settings -Navagate to Location & Security -Deselect ALL Device Admins Then, force stop Google Play Services -Go to Settings>Apps&Notifications>App Info -Scroll down and select "Google Play Services" -Touch "Force Quit" After that uninstall Google Play Services by touching "Disable" After that, to re-install simply open the app store and it will prompt you to re-install Google Play Services, then reset your device. It is now fixed!!!!!

I had the same problem today (just after updating my phone) and eventually found a way to uninstall Google Play Services updates, thanks to the thread in Google Play Help Forum:

I was able to fix the issue today, by uninstalling the Google Play Services updates. Could only do that after making sure 'Find My Phone' was no longer a device administrator. Steps I followed:

1. Go to Settings -> Lock screen and security -> Other security settings -> Device Administrators
2. Uncheck 'Find My Device'
3. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Google Play Services
4. Tap the vertical ellipsis (3 vertical dots) at the top right -> Uninstall updates
5. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Google Play
6. Tap the vertical ellipsis (3 vertical dots) at the top right -> Uninstall updates
7. Restart phone. At this point the message "Google Play services keeps stopping" was gone.
8. Open one of the Google apps (in my case Google Maps)
9. It complains that "Google Play services" is outdated, click the popup to update it again. Problem solved. Really happy to have my phone back ;)

It worked for me (no more error messages, and now I can use again apps such as Google Play Store, Google Maps, etc)

Did you find 'Uninstall Updates'? You don't need to pay anything extra. Please be patient, I am here to resolve the issue.

Hi @dandy64 , · Couple of things to try: · Clear the tablet’s cache partition and check if this resolves the problem. Here’s how to do this. · Start the tablet in safe mode and check if the problem is still there or not. · If the problem is no longer there when in safe mode, then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one. You will have to uninstall the downloaded apps, one by one then restart the phone in normal mode between each uninstall to see if the problem is still there or not. · When it has gone then the last downloaded app to be uninstalled was the problem. · Since it only started recently, check which downloaded apps were installed or updated on or around the 12/15/2019 and start with them.

Force stop is disabled If either the "Disable" or the "Force Stop" buttons are disabled then:

1. Go to Settings → Device admin apps
2. Deactivate the following apps if they are listed:
   • Find My Device
   • Google Play

^{(example on Android 8.0.0, Samsung Experience 9.0.0)}

Note: Please, keep in mind that you may have to experiment with what apps you deactivate.

Your device admin apps list may differ. For example, you may have more or entirely different apps.

I have found that disabling the above two apps was enough for me to disable and force stop "Google Play services".
