Google Search Console: How to upload HTML verification file (DreamHost)
Start with downloading Filezilla. My preference for ftpclient. You can certainly go with whatever you like. Install it. Then check this article and the the following info ready Host: its usually your domain. UN and PW. https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/215613157-Where-do-I-find-my-FTP-login-credentials- Once you have those, you can pop them into the top bar of Filezilla and connect to dream host. Now I don't know dream host. But usually you land in the root folder. There may be folder like etc, html, var, user, etc... Open up the html folder. Could also be that you don't get root access based on your service with dream host. So you could see things like wp-admin, wp-config folders as well as some other files and one index.php/html file. If you see this one pop the Google file in here. If you see the above folders I mentioned in the root folder. Then open up html and you should see the WP structure. Now just drag the google file from left to right side into that folder. Should be visible next to the index. Not inside any of the other wp folders. Verify it. More on reddit.com
