Hey all,
We've had both Google Shopping App Purchase and GA4 conversion actions for purchases on multiple accounts and are suspecting that we've been double counting.
So I have 3 questions:
Would we be double counting in this case (the values on both conversion action are pretty close).
If we make one of them secondary would this solve our issue or would we have to delete or pause one?
GA4 or Google Shopping App Purchase, which is more accurate/reliable? I believe Google Shopping App Purchase is created automatically for Shopify stores that have the Google & YouTube app installed (correct me if I'm wrong) therefore wouldn't this be more accurate than GA4 trying to sniff all the data indirectly?

Verification of Tracking: How can I make sure that the tracking is working correctly before I actually start running ad campaigns? Is there a way to test the tracking of purchases in real-time to ensure that all data is correctly transmitted to Google Ads and Analytics?
Best Practices: Does anyone have experience with this integration and can share best practices or tips, particularly regarding verifying tracking data or avoiding common pitfalls?
I want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly before investing money into ad campaigns and would greatly appreciate advice or guidance from the community.

I'm auditing an account and the agency has set up GA4 Purchase action and Shopify's Google Shopping App as primary.
In my understanding this is counting the purchase conversion action twice. Am I wrong here?
