Google Shopping Price Comparison
Adwords recently released a new column called "benchmark product price difference". If your viewing the product group tab, you can add in this new column. It's not going to tell you exact prices, but lets you know if your group of targets is generally above or below competitors. There is also a benchmark price column when you view the products tab in adwords, so this will tell you the exact average price of a specific product. More on reddit.com

How to appear in Google shopping 'compare prices in X shops' results?
The terminology is a bit confusing, and also based on the replies below i'm not sure it's clear what you are asking specificaly. Models are matched based on MPN / Barcodes. If you mean "first page" in product details view, that's bid and relevance based. If you mean first shopping search results page, the product pool page, if you're not being matched with the other products it suggest incorrect GTINs. You can simply click on the products of your competitors, go to the product details and in the specifications you will see what GTINs are matched on that product. You'll notice your GTIN is not the same as theirs. Changing the GTIN will ensure you'll be seen in the comparison view, however it's up for debate whether that's preferable at all or not. If you can carry the bid on your own you don't want to have competition piggy back on your prefered placement. If you are not the most competitive it is maybe more interesting to be matched. But as i said in the beginning, i'm not sure that's what you are asking. More on reddit.com

Is anybody aware of a tool that would compare my product price in merchant centre to other sellers of the same product?
I don't want to automatically reprice, just check my price vs the other sellers.
Google tell me that giving me this info would be in breach of their privacy policy, but i can go to google and search for it manually(!)
Thanks in advance

About advertising with Comparison Shopping Services - Google Merchant Center Help
Since both bids are for the same merchant, we do not use CSS A’s bid to determine the price of the click that CSS B pays. Instead we use the next highest bid for a different merchant, which is still 20 cents. The CPC paid by CSS B for your product will be 20 cents. CSSs typically report the number of clicks sent to a merchant and the cost charged per click. Depending on their pricing scheme, they may also report additional information or share detailed bidding data. Google Shopping also reports the number of clicks sent to a merchant and the cost charged per click, together with other metrics.
