For those looking for "100% realistic TTS", the new Google Chirp HD voices are INSANE
Volume of tts announcement to Google Home
Google TTS API [audio/mpeg]
Have they officially blessed this yet? I'm guessing no...
Note to redditors: you may need to copy/paste the link, as it didn't work for me at first and I'm guessing the Referer: header is to blame.
When Google finally brings about the singularity, this is the last voice you will hear, soothing you with calm words as the jack slowly slips into the port in your neck.

This happened to me big time a while ago. I made posts about it on the official forums... There are a few things it could be...

First thing to do is clear your cache completely and retry the mod. I am sure you have done this but worth saying for others. I do not just mean untick "mod caching" I mean physically deleting all the stuff in your mod folders. Sometimes cache errors persisted for me until I did this. Often TTS downloads a file in a way that corrupts it, but according to the cache it is available. This causes strange errors like it trying to download, seeing the corrupt file and then skipping the download, trying to load it and erroring.

GoogleDrive may have a load issue or even a server outage. An outage is rare , but has happened a few times in the time period I have been using it for TTS mods. Wait a few hours or a night or something and try again.. it may miraculously be fixed.

GoogleDrive claims to have permanent storage but it doesn't. What actually happens is that files which are not used often are marked as trash. Even though they are not and not moved. This is so if you upload you can auto replace stuff, update old files and other techy reasons someone at google help explained to me. The upshot though is if you ever empty your trash to reclaim space on your drive you can actually delete a bazillion things you do not want to. If your drive fills, make a new account is my advice. I did this and broke nearly all my mods and was so depressed I stopped TTS modding for nearly 2 years. When I came back I moved everything to SteamCloud as well as backing up all files to TTSNexus.

Also, Google just changed ALL its terms and conditions. Read it. I haven't as I am one of those fools the security guys make fun of.... but they may have changed something with how googledrive works. Famously DropBox changed how direct links worked and brok millions of file links across the internet. Maybe this is the same thing. if this is the case I am sure there will be a direct link method for the new GoogleDrive and someone search and replace in notpad++ could fix your links.
IMO, start using steam cloud and backuping up not only your mod, with TTS Backup but any mods you enjoy using. It should be noted SteamCloud has outages as well, and also load limits. Often you get load errors on steam cloud, but just try a 2nd time and it works. I think if it has to many requests at once it just times out on a few of them. GoogleDrive "may" be the same.

Learning tones is hard and I wanted a NEAR PERFECT reference male voice as it's a good 50Hz deeper than female in most thai speakers. I also wanted FULL sentences with natural flow, tones, and so on. A few days ago vocabai announced they supported Google CHIRP HD voices with specialized Thai, male output. I just tried it and it's INSANELY good.
I use it with HyperTTS, the setup is a bit of a pain NGL but now that I got it running I could cry. It does full sentences, so if you want to practice pronunciation or even create full stories to listen to in chunks, you can have GPT create the dialog/text, export as CSV, import into ANKI desktop, generate 50k worth of thai tokens, and sync with your mobile. Voila, instant CUSTOM stories/dialog to practice, learn anywhere you want.
So far I have used it for flashcards and stories, but I'm sure there are other ways to make of this.
I hope this helps!
