the virtual cards i create from my banks are denied.
I don't like giving phone apps my actual credit card and i think i like it even less with google.
I had no trouble putting a virtual card on google pay but that's over.
Is there any way to do what i want to do or do i need a different pay system
Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternate? thanks.
I'm new to revolut and when I first signed up I had a virtual card that was in my Google wallet untill my physical card arrived.
Now the physical card is here I've also added that too my Google wallet so now I have 2 cards in my wallet.
What's the difference between them? Can I delete the virtual card from my Google wallet now the physical one has come and has been added?
I have google pay set up in my phone, and google creates a virtual credit card number for each of my credit cards, so whenever I make a purchase with google pay, the merchant actually charges the virtual card, then google charges my real card that associates with this virtual card number, it's safer because merchants would have no idea what my real card number is. My question is, how do I find out the full virtual card number that google created for my cards ? In google pay, I can only see the last 4 digits. Because I would like to use the virtual card number to make online purchases whenever a website doesn't accept google pay or paypal.
I have one CC in google wallet set up as a virtual card on my windows laptop.
I would like to enable an automatic payment. Videos online claim that the virtual card number can be obtained by clicking on the card, hitting manage payments etc.
I don't see this at all. My CC is displayed there, it's actual exp date and last 4 digits are shown under the card, and the slider for virtual card is slid to blue. I'm assuming that's all there is to it?
So, I cannot access the virtual card number to use on a vendor's site for payment. But even that confuses me, I thought a new Virtual card number was issued for each online payment?
Can someone please point me to a solution?
The title is the TL;DR
Problem: I need to register my credit card number with a specific retailer, so that my purchases and paperless receipts are kept in my account with that retailer (Home Depot). Whenever I use Google Wallet and "tap to pay", the purchase is made using a virtual card number that Google automatically created when I connected my credit card as a payment method. Using the Wallet app on my Pixel, and the web app, I can only see the last 4 digits of this virtual card number. I cannot find any way to view the entire 16-digit card number, expiration date, and security code. I called the card issuer, Capital One, and my problem was escalated through several levels of support. Support initially kept trying to direct me to the virtual card manager within the Capital One app, which I had already tried. The third level of escalated support told me that banks do not have access to virtual card numbers created directly by Google.
We are in a world where no one wants to keep paper receipts, so I do not think this is a small issue. An internet search reveals others have had this same problem. I'm hoping someone found a solution that I could not. TIA
Which of the two reveals more data about your purchases, or makes it likelier that third parties will acquire your data?
I misplaced my physical credit card need to make a large purchase immediately. I do not have time to wait for another card to come in. I need to be able to provide information over the phone and was wondering how to find the card number for the virtual card so I can use my card even if I don't have it.
I used Google Wallet/Google Pay to make a business purchase on my phone. The vendor doesn't issue paper receipts but I can claim one via the website if I submit my card details.
As I paid using GPay it sent a virtual card number, not the number printed on my physical card.
All of Google's online 'help' info leads to dead-ends or outdated info, so I can't access my full virtual card number (only the last 4 digits).
Any ideas?
So earlier in March I got an email, saying that if I activated my virtual card on Google pay I'll get $10 for spending $100. It mentions being able to use Chrome auto fill for payments and stuff, but I can't seem to get it working. Does using tap to pay and in-app Google Pay count?

Please forgive me if a common thread has already been discussed, I looked through and through but couldn't really find anything. I was just approved on June 1st for a $5k credit like through capital one. I saw that capital one offers a virtual card and digital card to add to google wallet. I've seen that I'm not the only one who has trouble trying to get a virtual card or add to my Google wallet so I don't have to wait for my physical card. But when I attempt to add the card to google wallet through the app it tells me "No eligible accounts found, we list only those credit cards for which you are the primary account holder" which I am the primary account holder. Just a bit confused if it's something I can fix or if I'm going to have to wait for my physical card in the mail.
I believe there was an update on this in October 2023 with plans for Dec 2023 and a recent update saying it was being rolled out soon but I'm still not able to add my card to Google pay. Anyone managed it or found a work around?
It is helpful that Google wallet provides facility to create virtual card details. But, it is almost useless, as most of the places it doesn't pops up to populate the field/cells (both on windows pc and android phones).
Also, in case of returns sometimes I need to submit full card number.
Most probably I am doing a mistake, because this seems the basic logic to see full virtual number.
can some one guide how to get the number.
My Google Pixel's contactless payment function uses Google Pay. I was able to setup my physical card for contactless payments using my phone. I can successfully add my virtual cards to Google Pay, but I cannot enable them for contactless payment. Each time I attempt to I receive this error:
I was under the assumption that setting up virtual cards for contactless payment in Google Pay was possible. Has anyone been successful with this?
I think my Google virtual card number/ account was compromised. I am wanting to change the virtual card number, not my physical card number. I swear there used to be an option for this IN Google Wallet or Google Pay. I can't find this option now. It used to be quick, painless, and seamless.
Could someone tell me if I can do this without removing and reading the card? Or just tell me how to do it?
I have some Visa cards from prepaiddigitalsolutions .com and Mastercards from myprepaidcenter .com. Anyone have success adding these Virtual cards to Google Pay? I'd like to use these cards at physical stores.
(This happened with Samsung Pay BUT I would love to be to do what I asked with either that or Google Pay)
Almost three weeks ago, I bought stuff from the Apple Store with Samsung Pay but had trouble returning them last Friday. I have bought and returned many things with Samsung Pay with no issues, but the problem this time is that the virtual card number somehow changed (I have no idea how). The person helping me had to get the manager to figure out what to do, and I ended up having a check mailed to my house with the full amount (it already came). I'd rather not have to deal with all of that ever again.
I currently have all passwords ripped out of Google. I don't use "Sign In With Google" to sign in to anything. Everything has its own username/password combination stored in Bitwarden. However, I saw that Google is launching their new virtual credit cards program, and it's something that has always intrigued me. My credit card does not support random number generation for online purchases. Every time I make an online purchase, my real CC number is put out there.
Having something like virtual credit cards seems really useful and seems like it would increase security. At the same time, I don't know how I feel about storing a credit card in my Google account. What do you think?
I bought something at a store a while back using my Google Wallet, so of course the store only saw my virtual account number, so that's what they printed on the receipt (only the last 4 digits of course). I now need to return that product for a refund but have since started using a new phone. The phone that had originally been used to make the purchase has been factory reset so can't be used to help me process the refund (at least, as far as I understand, because even if I re-add the card back to it then it would generate a different virtual account number anyway).
I've added the same physical card to my new phone's Google Wallet and of course, a new virtual account number was generated.
Is there a way to see the last 4 digits of all virtual account numbers that Google has ever generated for my Google account (including on other devices), as well as the last 4 digits of the physical bank card that they were generated for? That way, I should be able to show the store that the virtual account number on the receipt is associated with the same physical card and they should then be able to have the money refunded directly to that physical card.
Or if that's not possible, are there any other ways that I can prove to the store that they would be refunding the money to the same bank card if they process the refund using either the physical bank card or my new phone's Google Wallet?
