Now that iOS 17.4 is out I've come to realize that Google could release the Google Wallet for iPhones, including the ability to make contactless payments. Is this something that you want or would use? Do you think that it will ever happen?

I recently switched to an iphone and to be honest I kind of miss some Google Services that are not available on iOS.

yeah for sure our rail network in victoria Australia will not work on apple wallet (yet) even after some years.but it does work on google wallet ..so if I could get a google wallet app for the iPhone it would be great..

Sure! I just switched to iOS and I really miss Google Wallet. You could add almost anything to it, ID card, student ID, driver's license etc. Banks here don't support Apple Pay, only Google so I do miss using my phone to pay for things aswell. It was just much more convenient.

I currently live in Finland and I have an iPhone 7S plus with 15.8 IOS with the region set to Finland. But when I lookup the app in AppStore, it does not come up. even when accessing via links it does not work. As I understand Google Pay works on iPhones right ? I have double-checked the region issue as it was not showing another app. But after changing the region to Finland I was able to download that app.

iPhones work with Google Pay but iPhones don’t use Google Pay, they use a different app. Google Pay is Android only. Apple Wallet is what you’re looking for. You can tap it at any place that accepts nfc transactions including those that accept Google pay.

Google Pay for iPhone and iPad is only available in the US and India.

This week tap to pay stopped working on my Pixel 8 Pro, this phone is pretty new as I bought it in June.

I have tried deleting and adding back my cards, deleting the Google Wallet app and installing it again, restarting the phone, deleting the cache for the NFC service app, enabling and disabling NFC, and I have ran out of ideas.

Has anybody ran into this issue before or have any suggestions that could help_

I'm having the exact same issue, which started in the past few days or so. Was worried my NFC chip/antenna was failing somehow, but if others are having an issue as well, then it seems like an update issue. I've been hoping for a Google Wallet update (unsure if that would be the culprit) but nothing so far. I'll have to contact Google so they can get a fix out.
