Edit: I am not looking to hire anyone! While slow I can & have done it myself.
I have had my Google Site for a few years now and want to upgrade it to a site I can do more with it as I find Google Sites super basic!
I train dogs professionally, so this website will be used to book my services.
I want to be able to book in client phone consults and the option for people to pay for their program if they decide to impulse buy.
While I am absolutely no web designer I have used WordPress and built a site on there before having to completely restart when I built my Google Site! I just fumble through while watching YouTube tutorials😂
My domain has been moved to squarespace and was considering building one with them, but then started reading some threads.
Can I please have some user friendly options to look into. Bonus if it’s a free site as I have not been used to including that into my budget in quite sometime now.

There is no good free option. There is two main ways: You learn to make the web yourself if you have time. Hire a freelancer to do it for you. Peace of mind. Even when there are options for you to create the free website, you still have to invest your time to build it up the way you like, and eventually hit the pay wall later when you need more feature. When doing business, the cost for building a website is inevitable. Just the matter of time. In your case, the website needs to have two primary functions: booking and online payment. That goes beyond the basic website and you need someone more professional to take care of them. Those features will definitely cost a ton of time configuring and debugging when it comes into live.

One comment mentioned paying $20 a year for domains. That’s way more than one person should be paying, unless you’re paying for multiple extensions (.com + .net, etc.) If you go this route, I cannot recommend enough that you buy your domain separately from your host provider (ex: dreamhost). For the following reasons: It’s cheaper (Namecheap if you catch a deal can be $8 or less the first year, and $12-13-ish every year after). You get WHOIS privacy protection included with that price. Most host providers charge a couple bucks extra for that. If you ever decide you don’t like dreamhost and want to move, your domain stays yours. You don’t have to go through the trouble of transferring the domain, which is both time and money saved. It’s an extra step that will save you a ton of headache down the line.

I've used Dreamhost since 2006 and love them. But I'm a nerd-lite and coded my own websites. They have a pretty easy WordPress install that you can use to do things like you would do with Google Sites, I think. Looks like Dreamhost is having a sale for what they're calling WordPress Basic. They do offer a solid 90-day money-back guarantee, so you could try them with little risk. Not trying to sway you one way or another since I've never used Google Sites. Hope this helps.

Hello,
I have an acquaintance that reached out for help with how to get their business setup with email and a simple website. This is a bit unknown territory for me. I have used google workspace for my own business email. I registered my domains through namecheap and will likely have them do the same as the cost was good and the simplicity of their site.
So, question is:
What’s the simplest way to get a 1-3 page website with their admin that is bought through namecheap? Is Google sites a feasible option to keep it all under the same umbrella? Or is there an app based solution they could build the site on their phone and get it online with?
Available hardware is a Chromebook or iPhone hence the desire to stay with Google products.
