I’m referring to the newer G1 kit that doesn’t have the camera and is used for PC.
The reviews on Amazon seem to be mixed and I haven’t been able to really see what it looks like in action in terms of the color matching when gaming. Does anyone have this product and is willing to share their experience and possibly even some screenshots or video of it in action while gaming. It would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, after a few days (2 months), here is my review. Overall, I think the Govee Gaming Light Strip G1 is a pretty decent product. I use it on my 27-inch monitor, where it was a little long so I have some ends of cables sticking out. With better cable management, it may be possible to clip those behind the monitor. In terms of colors, they look great. All of the colors are vibrant and show up nicely. However, the color accuracy between the app (both mobile and desktop) and the actual lights is a bit questionable. I have found that the color the strip struggles with the most is yellow. Trial and error will let you get the color you want, though. In my day to day, I primarily have the strips set to an orange color to help light up the area behind my monitor to try to reduce eye strain, and it has helped. Govee has a feature called DreamView, which is pretty interesting. It is supposed to take the colors at the edge of your screen and change the lights to the same color to increase immersion. I have found that 1. it does not match colors very well (tends to use too much blue) and 2. it noticeably hurts performance in games (lost anywhere between 10-40 fps on average depending on the game). I'll attach a video of me using it in a few games: https://youtu.be/skXJEedFcI8 . Overall, if you are just looking for an RGB strip that is easy to control with solid colors, I would recommend this. If the DreamView feature is important to you, I would not recommend it. I have tried tweaking the brightness, saturation, and sensitivity, and I have not gotten better results.
