There are light 80 million variants but you want RGBIC+W smart home compatible Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Matter with a high density of LEDs per meter and a silicone coating. The M1 is expensive but does all those things. Its model is H61E1. H61BE is a similar and less expensive option. Have you considered Neon Ropes? They have a thick silicon casing that diffuses the LEDs for a smoother and less harsh look if you are going to have the lights anywhere that is in plain view. The outdoor model looks better in my opinion and has a $70 off coupon on Amazon for the 32’ model. They just released the Neon Rope 2 which is matter compatible but more expensive. The regular one is available refurbished on Govee’s website but currently out of stock, but it’s $80 for 32’ which is really good considering neon ropes are superior to led strips for most applications imo https://us.govee.com/collections/refurbished-products/products/refurbished-neon-led-strip-light?variant=43753835462841 More on reddit.com

this project required four strips at 32 feet long per each. Three are on the house, one is on the garage. I used vinyl J-channel screwed 1 foot on Center to the white facia to reflect the light back up on the facia board and avoid any direct lines of site to the LED diodes…well, for the most part. There are a couple angles where you can see a diode directly, but for the most part, pretty happy with how it turned out…now to figure out how to run the app and get some cool color schemes.

want to install some homekit compatible led light strips on my shelving area but am unclear how to only set it up either just under or above, without the vertical areas between each shelf being lit up. have a few examples below. anybody have any solutions, ideas or suggestions?

You can cut the Govee strip lights and string them together with wire on the vertical runs. I’ve watched a few YouTube videos on this and have everything I need to do the same thing with some cabinets at my house, but I’ve been afraid to pull the trigger on the project haha.
