All of the permanent light kits are weather proof. IP65 on the box and ip67 on the individual lights.
Pic 1 my power control wet. Had 4 days of rain so far Pic 2 my lights on despite my power control being wet. Pic 3 the item that govee did not make the power control water resistant. This is what constantly gets confused in the permanent light forums.
I hope this helps make your lives easier as everyone is trying so hard to protect these power supplies and it’s just not necessary. Feel free to do it if you like over engineering things but I do worry about those enclosures y’all are installing heating up with no air flow in the summer. Good luck with whatever you do. I’m just trying to stop the misinformation because I also fell trap to it when I first started the journey and had to dig for accurate answers.

I'd like to permanently outline my house with about 200' of LED lights and found the "Govee RGBICWW Outdoor LED Strip Lights" product. These seem more appealing versus the 'puck' design because they appear more seamless (instead of the distinct lights that the pucks give off). Since this is all so new to me, I had some questions;
Does anyone have experience with these to give a recommendation on quality/durability?
My eaves are not continuous so I'm hoping that I can cut these to length, run some type of extension, and solder onto my next run of lights.
Can I keep a wave pattern in sync between the 1st floor and the 2nd floor assuming that their runs are on separate power outlets?
I see reviews on these that claim they're bright. Is there an option to dim them?
Thanks in advance! Since I'm intending for these to be perament, I want to make I fully understand it before investing time & money.
