First year Costco member. I understand that Costco's warranty policy makes them pretty particular as to what they offer for sale quality-wise. Haven't really had a reason to test that policy, but my local Costco is offering the Govee permanent outdoor lights kits. Every fall I'm tempted by permanent lights, and online reviews have been pretty mixed in past years. If Costco is offering them is that sign of better quality?
If you have installed them, what's your take on them?
Thanks.
Has anyone bought these and what's your experience?

150ft outdoor lights for $339.99
Govee permanent outdoor lights 150 ft deal at Costco @ $329
Might be a great pickup before the holiday season starts...
Just bought these from Costco in Canada. I thought they were the pros because they come in a black version ( I have black soffits) but they seem to be different. Does anyone have experience with this version and know how they compare to the other two? I think they still have 2 white LEDs (4000k) and then one rgbic in the middle. They were $400CAD. I had been waiting for the Pros to go on sale in a few days on Amazon but don't know what version to get anymore.
So I see so many versions of the govee lights and one thing I learned is now some permanent outdoor sets have RGBIC or RGGICW where w is a dedicated white light. Now Costco has there own version which states RGBIC but view reviews show it actually does have a white led. So I guess it's rbgicw?
Now I see this version 2 which is said to be brighter and waterproof (improved waterproofing??) of the controller and lights

Does anyone know if the Costco version is just as good as the version 2?

I saw this deal in a Costco recently and was thinking about snagging one, or maybe more. How difficult is it to get these into my Apple Home? I have Homebridge if needed too. These do say Matter on the box, and from what I have read, my first generation HomePod should be Matter compatible, but if not, I can try to find a cheap Matter controller. When searching online for the part number H619DAD3 from the description, nothing comes up, so I am assuming it's one of those store specific part numbers that only they get to sell. But if these work well and I can get them into HomeKit or Homebridge, I might have to buy a few.
Are the elite lights worth getting or should I get Pro or outdoor lights 2? What about having to use an extension if I wanted to buy two of the 150’ elite to connect to each other.
Hey everyone Looking at getting a set of the 150ft elite permanent outdoor govee lights to put up on the house.
Just wondering if anyone here has much experience with this set. I don't think I will use the entire 150ft (just planning on doing the front of the house marked with red )
Can I terminate the run anywhere at the end and just cut and terminate with appropriate caps and seal for weather?
I'm thinking the four foot extension would be enough to make the jump from around my garage to the next eve going up the front gabel and terminate the set around the corner of the house on the right
In my head this looks like a simple install 🤔🤷♂️
Thanks for any advice
Hi,
I am looking to install the Govee outdoor permanent pro lights but my roofline doesnt have soffit. Can they be installed along the board highlighted in red. I have seen other reddit posts where folks have recommended installing 1x3 furring boards and then installing lights upon them. Would that make a difference in terms of the lighting effects?

$70 off at my local Costco
If so what did you use? Links would be amazing.
Got these done on our new house build, super easy to do with the clean soffit and some scaffolding that was up for the tallest part! The dormer window has lights as well, but I didn’t have enough extension cords to run up to it.
I'm getting ready to install my govee permanent outdoor lights pro and I'm a bit nervous. My question is, how well do the lights hold up long term? My neighbor had some installed and they either fell down or he took them down. I don't want to use just the 3m take that comes with it so I'm looking for more secure ways to attach the lights. I've seen people 3d printing mounting brackets and have considered that. What are the recommendations for the most secure way to install the lights, and also how well are your lights holding up?
Looking into buying Govee lights but noticed that Enbrighten will go on sale on Thanksgiving. Does anyone have experience with any of these or researched the pros and cons for each? Any information is appreciated!
I bought the Permanent Outdoor Lights Elite from Costco and I’m trying to figure out how I want to handle the two rooflines here.
I’m comfortable cutting and splicing them and such, so I’m not worried about having excess lights, mostly looking for advice or examples where you have two parallel lines in proximity like this.
