Well, I'm thinking about buying it but it seems a bit expensive for what it is. The absence of reviews does not encourage me to purchase
Does anyone have it already? What do you think?
Thank you! 😉✌️

I’ve always been a fan of govee. I’ve been using the H60B0 I bought about a month ago, and I really love its triple lighting effects. It adds a romantic, cinematic vibe to my home, love it. It offers a wider variety of lighting options than my previous H6078.
Hi all
So I just got my Govee Tree Floor Lamp, installed it and hooked it up to my Google Home through Matter. The name of the device in my Home environment is "Leeslamp" (Reading lamp - I'm Belgian sorry 😁).
I've got one question and one issue where I need your guys' help with.
Issue
The lamp is working fine. I can turn it on/off, change colors, ... All good.
However, when I add the light into an automation/voice command - Google home does something weird.
My voice command is "Hey google, we are going to have dinner" which turns on my TV, lights, ... I have configured the Govee Tree Floor Lamp to:
Turn on
Brightness 30%
Color pumpkin
Everything goes according to plan, but at the end my Google Nest speaker (or phone or whatever picked up my voice command) says:
Okay, Leeslamp offline
Sorry, Leeslamp offline
Okay, Leeslamp offline
It seems that it tries to do something three times (because there are three lights). Does anyone else have this issue?
Question
Is there a possibility to give a voice command to only turn on a single light through Google Home. This is possible through the Govee app, but it would be nice to have a command in Google Home where only one of the lights turns on.
Thanks guys!
Drew.
Hello,
So first some background: I live an apartment where using the ceiling lights is not an option for me. So I have installed Govee RGBIC stripes and I have two normal lamps that I already had.
Now I have good light, but the entrance area is always so dark when it get's darker outside. To change that and to brighten up the overall atmosphere I was thinking of putting a Govee Floor Lamp there. Now the question: Does this sound like a good idea and are the Floor Lamps even worth it?
I've seen there is a version two that seems newer. Is the upgrade worth it? I mean it costs 150€...
Thank you for your help! I'll attach pictures below.
I've been reading a lot about setting up the Govee Floor Lamp 2 on HomeKit using Matter. At first, I was having zero luck, and the support from Govee didn't do anything to improve my experience. I could see the light for setup, but then it failed right away.
After some troubleshooting with a friend who is familiar with Matter, I was successful in getting the light on my HomeKit network. I wanted to share in the hope this helps someone else.
Double check your IPv6 is working - don't assume. Check to see if your iPhone or other devices are getting IPv6 addresses. I had it enabled on my Router however at some point my ISP had inadvertently turned it off, so I had to manually enable it again on my ISPs side.
I set up a dedicated WiFi AP for IoT devices - this may not be needed, but I thought it helpful to run a WiFi network in a more legacy mode, 2.4ghz only, 20mhz wide (not 40), set to WiFi 4 (802.11n) for full compatibility. This may not be needed for the Govee light, but in my case it is working well.
I connected my Apple TV via Ethernet for setup. As I'm in a new home I don't get have smart wiring installed yet, however for installation of this light I ran a long ethernet lead across to it. This will be helpful for the next step.
Connect your iPhone to the new IoT network, and set it to forget the primary WiFi AP for now. Connect to the IoT network to ensure you have a working connection.
Just before attempting setup, I reboot both the Apple TV and my iPhone.
Factory reset the Govee Floor Lamp 2. To do this, turn it off at the wall for 30 seconds, then turn power on and after booting press the power button on the remote and spam the colour button until the light pulses purple. After this let the lamp run the factory reset, it should only take a few moments.
Do NOT set up the light first in the Govee app. Instead use Home first and use the Matter QR code that is attached to the power cable at the base of the light. I hadn't seen this at first and the Govee guide could've been clearer to point this out to me. Within Home, I selected + > New Accessory, and scanned the QR code. Give it time to set up the lamp connection (it will automatically connect to the IoT network that the iPhone is connected to) and then answer the HomeKit questions about the light (including automatic updates)
Once this is working, then you can connect the Lamp to the Govee app and configure the Lamp within the app. I found to get this Lamp on WiFi for the Govee app I needed to go to the network settings, and set up the WiFi again (even through it warns not to change the WiFi network as this will break Matter).
You should have a working Govee Corner Lamp 2 in HomeKit and the Govee app! I've noticed I can't remotely connect to the lamp via the Govee app when not on the Network, although that isn't a problem as I can use HomeKit. Additionally, if there is a power loss it will take some considerable time for the light to be available again in HomeKit (roughly 5-10 mins). It will report as "Not Responding" during this period.
I hope this helps someone else! I was pulling my hair out and just about ready to return the Lamp. I'm glad I was able to get it working.
Yeah I ramble, I know.
TLDR: The Govee Cylinder Floor Lamp is an inherently defective design. Don't buy it, but if you do make sure wherever you purchase from gives you the warranty. You will need it.
So this lamp has failed me a total of about 3 times now. The first time it randomly started flashing like a camera flash randomly whenever it was actively "moving" colors around the LEDs. The second time it stayed stuck on one color and never responded to any commands. Not even the one button on the entire lamp. Had to unplug it to turn it off. Then the last replacement failed when 2/3 of the color LEDs just completely died. So now it's just a regular white/cold/warm illumination lamp. After the last time, Govee wouldn't send a replacement so I ended up with a refund, but I bought during the holiday sale so I can't even get another without paying more. I really love the look and features of the lamp, but this entire model is a lemon. Don't get it. My guess is they didn't design it with sufficient cooling so eventually they all die. Perhaps the soldier they used is too weak tow withstand many duty cycles, who knows, but it all comes back to the heat. It does get prettyyy, prettyyyyy, pretty warm. And I don't see how the thing is supposed to cool itself either. No vents of any kind at all, not to even mention active cooling. I think they were hoping the heat would conduct down the entire aluminum post but I don't think it works very well. The entire "bulb" basically acts as an enclosed, doublepane hot air blanket with the clear acrylic outer cylinder acting as the 1st pane and the diffuser cylinder as the 2nd.
Can't even try to repair it as there are literally no diagrams or guides or videos online of anyone doing a teardown. I tried but couldn't get much further beyond removing the 2 outer cylinders. It's a real shame. Now I'm stuck with a 3 semi-functional, wonky floor lamps. One slighly purplish-white lamp that I use a wireless outlet switch to turn off and on. One that works fine aside from just putting out warm/cool/day white light. And one that only gives off a third of the lumens it should. I think that I'll keep them around hoping someone will one day post something somewhere to help me get them working again, or my electronics skills will advance to the point I can do it myself. Cool product, Govee engineers.
But yeah, if you made it this far of my agitated rant, don't buy this product. If you really want it, I'd suggest not running them all the time like I do, or keep the brightness a bit lower. And keep them somewhere relatively cool. Maybe mod it to add active cooling somehow (drill holes at the top maybe? no one would Be able to see them anyway). Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Hey Govee experts! Instead of falling down a YouTube rabbit hole, I figured I’d ask here.
I’m planning on getting one of the two aforementioned lamps, as I really enjoyed the ambiance my Christmas tree lighting created. I just want something that adds that kind of vibe to my living room.
Right now they’re $89 vs. $119 - not a huge price difference. What are your thoughts on the 2 lamps?
Hello r/Govee!
I currently have the Govee RGBIC Floor Lamp 2 by my sofa and love its color sync with my TV. Now I’m looking to add a second floor lamp on the opposite side of the room for more balanced ambient light.
What I’m looking for:
Similar RGBIC color effects and app control
Adjustable height (around 1.5 m)
Voice‑assistant compatibility (Alexa/Google)
No flicker when dimmed
Budget is up to $200. I’d love to hear which Govee model you’d recommend that pairs well with my existing lamp, or any tips on placement. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I recently purchased two of the Govee Floor Lamp Basic. This is the first smart lighting I've ever had and whilst I have set it up and connected it to the app I feel like I'm a little unsure about what to do next.
I guess I'm a little confused by the app and how to use it properly and I'm looking for some tips and advice from more hardcore users of the app about things I can try to either get that homey feel.
I have one either side of my TV and will add a picture of the setup. I plan to connect it to my Google home device and maybe even connect to my Sky Glass to it all too if I can. However I'm not sure this is even possible.
All advice and beginners tips are welcomed.
Some people have shown interest in seeing the Uplighter Lamp in action with Dreamview. Here is a short demo of my setup.
I have a lamp in the corner of my apartment living room that does a pretty good job at lighting the room. It’s a dual bulb lamp utilizing 2x LUMIMAN (800LM/ea) smart bulbs.
The Floor Lamp 2 is 1725LM which at full brightness is already over the brightness of my existing 2 bulbs. However, the Floor Lamp 2 only reflects off the wall.
Thoughts?
It won’t turn on at all and it lost it’s connection to the app as well, all completely randomly. I tried different outlets and reconnected it’s pin connector but nothings working.
So far I submitted an inquiry using the replacement support thing, will they replace it? it’s been more than 30 days of me owning this lamp.
Edit: Yup, they’re replacing it. They have great support, all I did was do their rapid replacement and send a video of what was wrong and they sent me an email confirming they will replace it 👍
Edit 2: I figured out how to fix my broken lyra lamp with the help of airjxn’s comment!! If you are willing to open up your lyra lamp to try and fix it, have a look at the thread below, you don’t need any prior knowledge, i didn’t have any either and now i have 2 lyra lamps 😁
Sam’s club currently has the floor lamp 2 on sale and I’m thinking about getting it. I already have the OG floor lamp and was wondering if anybody who has had both can comment on the differences and if the upgrade is worth it.
Thanks in advance
I was looking for hydroponic grow lights as the one on my Amazon China special is no longer working.
Browsing I came across a $50 light that looks alot like a govee floor light.
Got me thinking maybe I should just get a govee floor light and use it as grow light during the day and if I want to use it for ambiance at a different time... Win win?
