What's the scoop on these three Graco car seat options I'm torn between?
The 4ever DLX is super bulky. We bought them for our twins and they have been great car seats overall but really take up a ton of room. In most smaller SUV’s they take up the entire backseat basically with no room for a third person or anything else really. We are using them as high back boosters now and even then they are way bigger and taller than other high back boosters. More on reddit.com

Graco turn to me 3-in-1 or Chicco Fit 360 car seat? Or a different rotating car seat?
Following as I’m debating between these two as well! I originally bought the evenflo slim 360 on a Black Friday deal, but haven’t used it for the same reason you mentioned 😕 Comparing the two, it’s nice that the chicco (I’m assuming) seems to rotate if it’s rear or forward facing, but I don’t love the hard back when it’s rear facing. They’re both good brands so I’m torn too! Hoping others can weigh in that has one of these car seats 😊 More on reddit.com

r/Parenting on Reddit: What's the scoop on these three Graco car seat options I'm torn between?
September 29, 2025 -

I have the Graco SlimFit for my older child and I'm now getting ready to purchase another seat for my second. I am torn between Graco SlimFit, Graco SlimFit3 LX, and Graco 4Ever DLX.

I like the price point of SlimFit or SlimFit3 LX, rather than the pricier 4Ever DLX. Open to hearing if anyone loves any of these more than the others though. I don't dislike the original SlimFit we have currently, but also have never tried either of the others.

Thank for sharing your experiences.

r/toddlers on Reddit: Graco turn to me 3-in-1 or Chicco Fit 360 car seat? Or a different rotating car seat?
February 9, 2025 -

Help me decide which car seat and why. I’m mainly stuck between these two car seats and I can look at a Graco one in store but can’t find the chicco one in stores to look at, but from my research this is what I’m between. I’m set on needing it to rotate because my baby fights to get in the car seat. I liked some of the evenflo ones but I’m skeptical given the current investigation is still in process. I’ve also considered the Nuna but it’s almost double the cost and only goes to 40lbs. I’m also looking at the Graco easy turn 360 2-in-1 car seat but it seems pretty new so there’s not a lot of reviews yet.

*edit- I went with the Graco easy turn 360 seat and I love it so far! It’s basically the Graco turn to me but it actually rotates 360. I was hesitant to get it since it’s new and there were hardly any reviews on it, but I figured I would take my chance since it essentially is the well loved Graco turn to me with 360 instead of 180. I’ve had it a week and a half and I love how easy it is to turn.

r/carverscave on Reddit: Graco SlimFit 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat Review: Too Good to Be True?
August 22, 2024 -

Car seats are a pain in the ass. They're bulky, complicated, and about as user-friendly as a Soviet-era nuclear reactor. So when I came across the Graco pitched their SlimFit 3-in-1, I was skeptical.

But hey, my kid needed a new throne. So I bit the bullet and strapped this bad boy into my car.

Here's what happened next.

Update:

BEST PRICE on the Graco SlimFit 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat here:

https://amzn.to/3VLyuIF

First Impressions

There's a massive box on my doorstep that screams "ASSEMBLY REQUIRED." Fan-fucking-tastic. But as I dragged the Graco SlimFit into my living room, ready to wage war against plastic and padding, I was hit with my first pleasant surprise: this bad boy comes pre-assembled. Hallelujah.

Unboxing the SlimFit was like watching a clown car in reverse. How the hell did they fit all this into one box? The seat itself is a beast, substantial without being obnoxiously huge. It's got this sleek, modern look that screams "I've got my shit together" - even if the rest of your car looks like a mobile dumpster fire.

As I ran my hands over the fabric (which, by the way, feels pretty good), I started to see where my money went. The build quality is solid - no cheap plastic here. This seat feels like it could survive reentry from space.

If you've ever tried to install a car seat before, you know it's usually about as fun as a root canal without anesthesia. But Graco's got this InRight LATCH system that's supposed to make it a breeze. Spoiler alert: it actually does. One second, one click, and boom - that sucker's in there tighter than my jeans after dinner.

But as I was fiddling with the harness, trying to figure out how to adjust it (because apparently, I can't read instructions), I had a moment of déjà vu. This thing reminded me of the cockpit seats in fighter jets. All these straps, cushions, and adjustable parts - it's like Graco's engineers moonlight as aerospace designers.

Then there's the cup holders. They rotate! It's like having a mini bar for your toddler. (Note: Don't actually put alcohol in your kid's sippy cup.)

It's noticeably slimmer than my old car seat, which means I can now fit a whole extra person in the backseat. Or, more realistically, a mountain of groceries and toys.

As I stood back and admired my handiwork (read: the seat I didn't actually have to assemble), I couldn't help but feel a little smug.

But the true test was yet to come. Would my tiny dictator approve of her new throne? Or would I be joining the ranks of parents who've turned their cars into mobile playgrounds just to avoid toddler tantrums? Only time would tell. But so far, so good.

Key Features

The Transformer of Car Seats: This isn't just a car seat, it's a goddamn Autobot. It goes from rear-facing (5-40 lbs) to forward-facing (22-65 lbs) to highback booster (40-100 lbs). In real-world terms? This thing will cradle your kid from "OH GOD, IT'S SO TINY" to "STOP GROWING, DAMMIT" stages.

Slim-Fit Design: Remember that scene in "Dumb and Dumber" where Jim Carrey squeezes into that tiny bike? That's what most car seats feel like in the backseat. But the SlimFit? It's 10% slimmer than your average seat. In my Subaru Crosstrek (aka the clown car of SUVs), this means I can now fit a whole extra person back there. Or, more likely, all the crap my kid insists on bringing everywhere.

No-Rethread Harness: If you've ever had to rethread a car seat harness, you know it's a special kind of hell. Graco's "Simply Safe Adjust" system lets you adjust the harness and headrest in one motion. It's so easy, you could do it drunk. (But don't.)

ProtectPlus Engineering: Graco crash-tested this thing harder than a crash test dummy with a death wish. Side impact, rear impact, rollover - if there's a way to crash a car, they've tested it. It's like they're secretly training these seats for demolition derbies.

4-Position Recline: Because apparently, kids need to be at the perfect angle to projectile vomit effectively. But seriously, this feature is clutch for long car rides. It's the difference between "peaceful road trip" and "Dear God, why won't it stop screaming?"

Machine Washable Seat Pad: Everyone knows kids are disgusting. They're like tiny biological warfare units, constantly leaking and spewing various fluids. The fact that you can throw this seat pad in the washing machine is excellent. It's almost as if Graco knows that "washable" is music to a parent's ears.

Pros

  • Space-Saving: It's slim enough to fit three across in most backseats, which means you can have more kids without upgrading to a minivan. (Note: More kids not recommended. Trust me.)

  • Grow-With-Me Design: This seat will be with your kid longer than most of their friendships. By the time your kid outgrows it, they'll probably be driving themselves.

  • Installation is Actually Idiot-Proof: I once put together an IKEA dresser upside-down, so trust me when I say this seat is easy to install. The LATCH system clicks in faster than you can say "Where's the instruction manual?" It's so secure, you could probably use it as a tow hook in a pinch.

  • Comfort That'll Make You Jealous: The padding on this thing is ridiculous. It's like sitting on a cloud made of memory foam and unicorn hair. Your kid will be so comfy, they might actually fall asleep instead of screaming for the entire car ride. Novel concept, I know.

  • Safety Features Out the Wazoo: This seat has more safety features than a paranoid billionaire's panic room. Side-impact protection, energy-absorbing foam, reinforced steel frame - it's like strapping your kid into a tank. Short of wrapping them in bubble wrap, this is as safe as it gets.

Cons

  • It's Heavy: This seat weighs more than some small countries. If you're planning on frequently switching it between cars, maybe start hitting the gym now.

  • Price Tag: It's not the most expensive car seat out there, but it's no bargain bin find either. You might need to sell a kidney or two. But hey, think of it as an investment in your kid's future (and your sanity).

  • Crumb Catcher: Without the infant insert, this seat has more nooks and crannies than an English muffin. Expect to find fossilized Cheerios and petrified fruit snacks for years to come.

Final Thoughts

If you're the type of parent who changes cars more often than you change diapers, this might not be your jam. It's a beast to move around, and you might throw out your back trying to transfer it between vehicles. Also, if you're on a ramen noodle budget, the price tag might give you heart palpitations.

But if you're looking for a car seat that'll grow with your kid faster than your sleep deprivation? This is a good choice. It's perfect for parents who:

  1. Value their sanity and backseat space equally

  2. Want a seat that'll last longer than their kid's latest obsession

  3. Appreciate safety features more complex than NASA's control panel

  4. Have nightmares about constantly readjusting harnesses

For the "one and done" types who want to buy a seat now and not think about it again until their kid is ready for college? This is your ticket.

But if you're the type who enjoys the thrill of buying new gear every few months, or if you have a strange fetish for assembling baby equipment, maybe look elsewhere. This seat is too damn convenient and long-lasting for your chaotic lifestyle.
