I’m attending a college friend’s wedding in mid August and the only dress code given was “cocktail.” It will be a younger crowd (I am 23 and so are most of our friends) and the ceremony is outdoors so would like something sleeveless.

I would ideally like to find a kelly green (not olive or emerald, more of a summery green) colored midi or maxi dress for under $150 but have had a hard time finding many options. I am 5’8 and have a small waist but am widest at my hips and thighs if that helps at all! Open to any suggestions! I don’t typically wear dresses so don’t know where to start looking. The only thing I know I don’t want is a strapless dress.

Hello all, going to a wedding in late June for my boyfriend's sister, dress code is cocktail attire at an upscale resort in the mountains. My boyfriend is wearing a greenish/blue suit and I'd like to match with a darker green cocktail dress. I am really picky about dresses unfortunately, I am also not confident about my body. I had my period when I tried on this dress so maybe it will fit slightly better in the tummy area in a couple of days. Anywho, I feel like the dress is too booby and doesn't fit me well but I always wonder if maybe I'm over thinking things? I feel like the dress has a lot of creasing and the stomach area bunches a bit.

I have attached a picture of another dress I was considering, sleeves are usually preferred and I usually avoid dresses with "spaghetti straps", I don't like how they fit me because I'm self conscious.

I am struggling to try to find something. I think I may be confused as to what is acceptable cocktail attire. In terms of color, I love olive green - I think that color is the most flattering on me! Though I'm not sure if that would work better for fall as opposed to spring.

Some stats: 5'10", about 180, size large. My body is pretty proportional. C cup that sags to my belly button lol (hence why I feel more comfortable wearing a bra). I don't like mini - definitely midi or maxi. I like my waistline and love accentuating that! No idea if this helps, but I have neutral/olive light-to-medium skin tone, brown hair, hazel eyes.
