My SO and I are getting married this May. The color of the bridesmaid dresses is raspberry, a shade of dark pink. My fiance and his groomsmen are starting to look at suits and are gravitating toward dark green (think forest green) to complement the bridesmaids dresses.
After doing some research, major rental companies don't offer full green suit options. Does anyone have experience with ordering custom colored suits for their wedding party? Is it possible to get 5 custom suits created in 3-4 months? To add another layer of complication, most of the wedding party are scattered across the Midwest US and one person lives in the desert SW. It will not be possible to get all the groomsmen together in one physical location for a fitting.
Any advice or recommendations for companies that do good colored suits is welcome!

Im assuming you understand thr cost implications of having 5 suits made? Yes, you can get made to measure suits in about 6-8 weeks. Even if you can't get everyone together for a fitting you can go through a company that has many locations, like Indochino or suit supply, so people can go to a location convenient to them. This will also enable everyone to get the same fabric if they all go to the same company. Not sure what any of these companies have in green tones but I would try indochino or suit supply. There are also online companies like proper cloth (does have nyc location) or oliver wicks. The online ones have different fitting methods, like sending test sizes or online consulting, so it might take a little longer to get the fit right with one of those.

Black could look great, but so could navy or charcoal! I think it's going to depend a lot on how dark your green is, and also what your partner's half of the aisle will look like. My husband wore an emerald green suit and it was lovely. It photographed well, wasn't as harsh as a black suit, and is easier for him to rewear to other events. Highly recommend.

To me, the black suit (as opposed to a tux) looks a mite funereal. I'd go with a nice mid-gray shade for the groomsmen, not as dark as charcoal.
