Hi—My kitchen sink faucet has a loose handle, so I ordered an OEM Grohe replacement cartridge for it on Amazon. I cleaned up the mating surfaces on the faucet body, I was careful to make sure it was seated well and I alternated sides when screwing it on, but it started dripping immediately. I did a return/exchange and the next one seemed OK, until 2 days later when it started leaking even worse than the last one! The old one is still OK, it doesn’t leak, but the handle is still loose and I’m afraid a person or cat might accidentally turn it on.

Am I doing something wrong? Are Grohe parts usually this unreliable? What should I do about the cabinet area under the sink now that it’s had a puddle of water on it a few times?

Mine is also leaking, my rubber seals are black to the touch, inferring the 3 rubber seals are old. I am looking for the rubber seals since my handle is tight and appears to be functioning well. Mine only leaks if I turn it on, inferring the center rubber is not seating well. I do find it odd that the Cartridge in the US ranges between $72-81, whereas in Germany, the part is 39 Euros. That is a huge markup!
