There usually is a hole in the front or back of the cap, but not this one. No idea how to remove the lever and access the cartridge. Model seems to be “A112” but not sure.

April 28, 2024 - Props to another community member for providing a link to the manual here which mentions you just pull it, I just used 2 hands and gave it a good pull and it came right off but can tell the cartridge is just squeaky and bad so its a bit odd it would do that after a months very little use. Grohe are sending a replacement so this matter is now resolved thanks to all posters above for helping out.

I had to clamp the thing in a WW vice, and loosen the cartridge assy. with a 1/2" drive breaker bar and 6 point socket. 17mm by the way. Grohe says it takes 1/4 turn to release the cartridge. It unscrews. ... Just remembered that my Grohe kitchen faucet has a lifetime warranty as long as you have the receipt.
