My Grohe shower diverter started acting up yesterday. When I pull the plug to engage the diverter, I get zero flow coming out of my shower head and the water stops pouring out of the faucet at the same time.

I couldn't find a part number for this style of faucet, so I wasn't really able to find a manual online for it. The furthest I got when tinkering quickly with it was that the round part of the cap unthreads. Then there's a smaller nut underneath. Didn't want to attempt anything without asking first 😅

Anyone ever install or repair one of these? Looking for some help fixing this so I can get the shower working once again.

Possibly blocked hose/handset, blocked diverter outlet or the diverter is broken. If you look on their website you will be able to find the manual for your tap. It may have the same name as another tap except yours has an additional outlet for the shower handset extra.

My tap in the bathroom has a pull up type diverter to change the water flow between filling the bath or going through the shower head. Recently, when I try to change from bath to shower, it does not do it completely, and I'd say half the water still goes through the bath nozzle, the other half going through the shower head.

I do not have any experience with this, but I'm assuming either the diverter valve is worn out failing, or it is the spring?

My question is, what would be the most likely culprit? The tap I have is a GROHE CONCETTO TWO-HANDLED BATH/SHOWER MIXER ½″.

I also can't seem to get the bottom of the tap off. There is a ring at the bottom that I just cannot remove, no matter what I try.

In the product page you linked to, there's a link to a "Technical Product Information" PDF with what looks like pretty good diagrams and step-by-step instructions on how to remove and disassemble the diverter. That said, I've never worked on one like that, so I won't be much help beyond pointing that out.

I picked up the phone and called hansgrohe's support line and explained my problem with a shower fixture more than ten years old. They sent me an entire new shower valve and some other pieces just in case they'd help. No charge. Might be worth trying.
