Hey guys, First time here,
So.. we have a Grohe shower mixer that’s leaking water from the diverter area (image 5 - red circle) when the tap is on. I believe the problem is with the diverter valve (the part that switches between the hand shower and the overhead shower).
I tried to replace it, but it was really stuck. After a lot of effort, I managed to twist it a bit, and the bottom part of the diverter came out (image 2) but the top part is still stuck inside the bath mixer (image 1 - the head)
I’ve tried different angles and gentle force, but it won’t budge. I think it might be due to limescale build-up since it’s been in use for around 10 years.
Does anyone know how to safely remove or if there’s a hidden screw or special tool required for Grohe models like this?
The bath mixer model is Grohe Concetto Single-lever bath mixer 1/2″ (image 3) model number: 32211001
The diverter model is 65655000 (image 4)
Thanks in advance.
It seems that it’s held by some 3-prong steel lock that’s not moving, can’t pull out the plastic diverter (have replacement part from Grohe).
My Grohe shower diverter started acting up yesterday. When I pull the plug to engage the diverter, I get zero flow coming out of my shower head and the water stops pouring out of the faucet at the same time.
I couldn't find a part number for this style of faucet, so I wasn't really able to find a manual online for it. The furthest I got when tinkering quickly with it was that the round part of the cap unthreads. Then there's a smaller nut underneath. Didn't want to attempt anything without asking first 😅
Anyone ever install or repair one of these? Looking for some help fixing this so I can get the shower working once again.
My tap in the bathroom has a pull up type diverter to change the water flow between filling the bath or going through the shower head. Recently, when I try to change from bath to shower, it does not do it completely, and I'd say half the water still goes through the bath nozzle, the other half going through the shower head.
I do not have any experience with this, but I'm assuming either the diverter valve is worn out failing, or it is the spring?
My question is, what would be the most likely culprit? The tap I have is a GROHE CONCETTO TWO-HANDLED BATH/SHOWER MIXER ½″.
I also can't seem to get the bottom of the tap off. There is a ring at the bottom that I just cannot remove, no matter what I try.
Thank you in advance!

Hello plumbing!
I have this plumbing issue that I hope you all might be able to help me with. My shower diverter handle seems to be stuck in one position and won't budge. The water is currently going to the shower head, and if I really crank on the diverter, a small amount of water goes to the tub filler.
Here is the set up: Photos! There is a mixer on the bottom for selecting hot and cold (it says Kohler on it), the diverter above it is stuck in that position, and tub filler and shower head further on the right. I don't see any manufacturing info anywhere on the diverter.
I have been lead to believe that if I take off the handle, I may be able to repair the diverter valve. However, I cant seem to find any way of taking that handle and plate off.
So I guess my questions are 1) how do I take off that diverter handle to access the back, and 2) if I do get the handle off, can I repair the valve and 3) Is there a way to fix this problem, or do I have to tear into the tiles to replace the whole set up?
I really appreciate any help you can give!
If it's a Kohler diverted some of those trim plates just screw on and the handle is attached with no screws, the whole thing comes off as one piece. Part of why I dont like kohler
Probably the cartridge for the diverter. If you look under the handle there will probably be a chrome insert covering a set screw that holds the handle on. Be sure to turn your water off before pulling the cartridge out.
