Without a super slick grease, a Krieghoff is difficult to put together. If you can't put the gun together, it is hard to get your reloads in it. LOL ... I also prefer Krieghoff Gun Glide. It's hard to get around here unless you order it directly from their site on line. ... Been using this for years, specifically made for guns.

Any advice would be welcome on either question in the title. I got a new (used) Citori and want to make sure it's properly lubricated before I go shoot it soon.
Like an idiot, I bought Hoppe's Gun Grease without realizing that it's for storage...not lubrication of moving parts when actually shooting. I suppose normal Hoppe's Gun Oil will do the trick just fine, and I have plenty of that. In the future, though, I would love to hear suggestions on gun grease to use on the moving parts of my Citori, and also where exactly to apply it.

Superlube synthetic grease. Anywhere where metal rubs against metal. Your ejectors, the knuckle (where the forearm hinges against the receiver) on your springs, and the locking surfaces. Superlube is the only product I've used that doesn't congeal into nasty crud.

July 10, 2016 - Some use oil most use grease. Just about any grease will do. I'm currently using Permatex White Lithium Grease from Canadian Tire. It comes in a little squeeze tube, is easy to apply and fits into the gun case. The important part is to clean and replace the grease after every outing.
