I'm currently making a mod pack for my survival-modded world, and I'm stuck choosing a gun mod. What is the definitive best Gun mod with how easy they are to use, damage outputs and how easy they are to craft? I haven't really seen any definitive answers to his question, so I thought to ask here, as I've gotten pretty good advice here before when asking about food mods.
Vic's Point Blank has some add-ons which add crafting recipes for guns, such as 'A_Shfox's Point blank recipes' , but I want to know if there's anything better. I've also seen 'Happiness is a Warm Gun', 'Timeless and Classic' and 'Just Enough Guns.'

TL;DR: from the mod list, I think you wanna abit more simplicity style so I would suggest CGM/JEG So for my experience there are these gun mods: MCDOOM & HWG (both made by he same creator) Timeless & Classics: Zero, a remastered version for +1.19 Unofficial 1.20.1 port for CGM/JEG And, Vics Point Blank. So first, let's get rid of the first option, these two doesn't even have a reload animation which I remembered 2 years ago playing it and I hated it (and I also remembered that you can just cheese it by enchanting Unbreaking 3 which causes the gun too not cost the bullets, yes it works for mending. Can only be achieved it Creative tho.). But hey if you are the type of people that doesn't really focus that much detail and said fck it... or like DOOM, you can just use these two. For the CGM/JEG.... I would say that's okay, the CGM reload is just goofy and the enchantment system could ruin the balancing and the only addon for CGM is only Stabx guns cuz other add-on creators wanna wait till the official makes their port. JEG looks very interesting and looks a bit realistic... but I didn't try it so couldn't say much more bout that. But if you want abit vanilla friendly this two might be it (JEG if you want abit more fallout themed), which from your mod of choice I would very highly suggest it. Alright so that leaves the gun mods that I would say the most competitive ones, which is TAC:Z and Point Blank. As a TAC:Z user for couple of months, this mod do not disappoint. It has good reload, good inspect animation, and no enchantment bullsh** most importantly. And there's like idk 5 gun packs to add for this. And for Point Blank, I also didn't try it but it looks cool on their main page. So if you are a bit of a gun lover and wants their guns to be as realistic as possible, just choose TAC:Z, but Point Blank might be great too.
