I have always enjoyed wearing bright colors and usually don't think too much of it except when a women I like assumes it must mean I'm gay. But I'm also not going to change who I am to please other people, so then I move on.
Lately I started looking around for role models of men who are straight and wear bright colors. I don't mean like leopard print leggings I just mean like... a belt that isn't black or brown, a jacket that isn't black or dark blue, etc. etc.
I am not referring to high fashion or runway models. I mean people who wear bright colors as part of their everyday wear.
Am I the only one?
Is it better to wear bright colors with dark colors to help tone it down or is it better to pair it with other bright accessories?
Example: wearing a bright colored shirt with a dark dark jacket and pants to tone it down or wearing a bright colored shirt with a bright jacket and bright colored shoes?

I basically dress like a 90s hippy, I go out in public wearing red & blue plaid pajama pants and a purple & green striped shirts, or blue jeans and a neon green shirt.
I just like being colorful, I feel happy being bright and colorful.
I would like to understand more about why people choose the colors of clothing that they wear, and why some people may feel reluctant or indifferent to colors beyond neutrals. I wear vibrant shades because they make me feel happy and confident, and prevent boredom. Do you feel the same? Did you always feel attracted to color?
