Hello,
I have 4 outdoor coils and cleaned them all very carefully over the weekend. Two of them are no in "E7" error code and not turning on. I'm hoping someone can give me some next steps to correct the issue. Here is what I did.
-
Removed the breaker/disconnect from all units
-
I removed the top covers
-
mixed some simple green coil cleaner in a 1 gallon pump sprayer as directed.
-
Sprayed the cleaner on the COIL only from the inside and outside. Careful not to get anything on the electrical side of the box.
-
I did spray the fan blades, fan housing and fan motor because they were dirty.
-
I let it sit for 5-10 minutes
-
Then rinsed using a water house with spray nozzle. The water pressure was very low and only enough pressure, in a spray (not a stream), through the coil.
I then put the tops back on and put the breaker/disconnect back into the box and started the units from inside.
Two of my smaller units now give an E7 code and will not turn back on.
Did I break them somehow?
