May 12, 2017 - For more info: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=796825738 Best way to farm imo is go to Ocean biome and put lihzard bricks as your platform, a desk with a watercandle and purple/red ice blocks (so you also have a chance of getting a crimson/corruption (depending on ice) key aswell as an Frozen Key AND jungle key because of those big fishes the lihzard bricks are spawning. For hallow you gotta seperate it because hallow cancels corruption/crimson.

Highlights of this massive downdate include: DIG 12 Biomes to explore - who needs locations like the Ice Biome... too darned cold! Be careful not to trip as you leap over single-high blocks Rope? Minecarts? Blocks and platforms will suffice. The Crimson was deemed too nasty and the Hallow too sweet, so they both have been kicked to the curb.

So long as the enemies are killed in the biome the key will drop. Also gotta make sure they drop coins (otherwise people would just cheese them via the lunar pillars with the endless waves of fast spawning enemies). ... i got two in a row, have about 7 hallowed keys on a world where i have only killed like 500 hallowed enemies

March 18, 2026 - The Hallowed Key Mold is a material added in 1.2.1. It is used for crafting the Hallowed Key which can be used to open the Hallowed Chest in the Dungeon. It is dropped by monsters in The Hallow after Wall of Flesh has been defeated.

October 1, 2013 - For the chest crafted with Hallowed Brick, see Fancy Hallowed Chest. Biome Chests are Hardmode Chests found within the Dungeon. Each contains one specific rare, powerful weapon, in addition to other miscellaneous items. While Biome Chests are placed during world creation, they are initially locked and can only be opened with an appropriate Biome Key, which will only become available in Hardmode.
