This year’s Halloween arch with pictures to show how to DIY your own.
Really tall inflatable help
I made an arch for this halloween
I know inflatables can be a bit controversial in this sub but I think this is my favorite one I’ve ever seen.
Finished pictures first of it in the daytime and lit up at night.

I start each year by stapling chicken wire to the front of my pillars. Along the top I also have chicken wire and I use zip ties with an eye hook sunk into the porch roof to stabilize.
-
The foam pumpkins start getting added. I’ve been buying and carving these for almost a decade now. I drill holes in the back to run the zip ties through so I can attach them to the chicken wire. I also drill a small hole near the bottom on the back for a light to fit into and another hole on the bottom to let water out because we get a lot of rain where I live.

Next I run the lights through and ouch a bulb into each pumpkin where I drilled the hole in the back. They are just regular orange mini lights with some that blink. I’ll zip tie just a few spots in the strands because the pumpkins keep them locked in well.

Lastly I put the Halloween ivy up and just weave it around the pumpkins where there’s any grid showing. I use zip ties to hold it into place.
I love doing the arch every year. I get tons of positive feedback from trick r treaters and people driving by to look at my house. It’s pretty easy to build, but it does require a lot of supplies. There’s probably forty strands of the Halloween ivy I’ve bought at Michael’s the last two years. I get a few foam pumpkins each year and add them to the arch. This year there’s six new ones, and eventually it will take up more space and I won’t need as much ivy.
