So I was watching John Campea talk about the idea of a hypothetical Hamilton film adaptation and it really got me thinking.
I believe Hamilton is something that would probably not work very well as a film and my biggest fear is that it would have the dear Evan Hansen effect, and retroactively make people feel a certain kind of way about the original play.
I think the biggest controversy to potentially come from the adaptation is how they would handle such things as slavery or women's rights during the time the film would be set in.
The musical gets heat from certain groups about this issue but it would be amplified if the material was put onto the big screen.
These are just my humble opinion of course, but I would love to know what others think about if a Hamilton adaptation would work well or not
