A bath tub thermostat allows you to pre-set how warm the bath water should get. It can also activate a temperature lock at, say, 40 degrees Celsius. This hot-water block offers reliable protection against unpleasantly hot water or even scalding. The bath tub thermostat has a control unit that mixes the water and keeps the pre-set temperature constant, even when the pressure fluctuates. A bath tub faucet, by contrast, does not have this kind of control unit: You need to regulate the temperature yourself and adjust the settings when there are fluctuations.

Gently wipe it with a soft cotton cloth to remove most of the dirt on your faucet without damaging the material. Please do not use stainless steel scouring pads, brushes or microfiber cloths. If you have to use cleaning products, it is best to use a mild one containing citric acid – and thoroughly rinse with clean water after cleaning.
