Product: Hansgrohe Metris 3 hole faucet. 31083000
I have a spare cartridge ready to install, as the 1/4 turn faucets have become very very stiff.
Question: I’m struggling to remove the handle to access the cartridge. The photos shows the underside. I’ve tried unscrewing the two screws, then removing the flexible pipe that is also attached at 90 degrees at the top, but then it seems like the collar should screw away, or the tap handle should unscrew, but nothing is moving. What am I not doing right? 🙏🏼

The handle and escutcheon come off in one piece. Loosen the screws then unscrew the flat round disk under the handle from the cartridge. Get a strap wrench if you don’t have one. Using channel locks could mess up the escutcheon and make it harder to remove. Hansgrohe has a limited lifetime warranty so you could send them a picture of the faucet and you’ll get replacement parts for free.
