November 19, 2024 - Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry will open on May 22, 2025, at Universal’s Epic Universe, its all-new area that’s comprised of a variety of different worlds and franchises.

What is the best time to ride Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry? Great question! This is one we've been putting on our Auror hats for and closely monitoring day-to-day. After thorough research and intense debate, we've concluded that the best time to ride is going to be at rope drop. Guests can flock to the attraction's queue when Epic Universe begins operations for Early Park Admission. You'll then have to wait at most an hour until the park officially opens to all guests for the ride itself to start operating — but hopefully, by then, you'll be in the beautifully air conditioned Ministry Atrium and out of the sun!

October 9, 2025 - The queue for Universal Orlando Resort’s headline ride in the upcoming Harry Potter expansion is almost an attraction in itself. As you move through, you’ll get to peek into familiar scenes from the films and experience brand-new ones created just for the park. You’ll begin with the Métro-Floo—a twist on the Floo Network—whisking you to the Ministry of Magic.

May 16, 2025 - While the attraction was closed for the past week, guests were still allowed to explore the Ministry of Magic queue. Epic Universe is currently in technical rehearsals, with the last previews on May 19 before the park officially opens on May 22.

May 22, 2025 - The clear “winner” this morning in the wait time game is Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. The ride opened at 9am to a 5-hour wait time and we were on the streets of Wizarding Paris to get a first-hand look at opening day.
