Hey fellow wizards! My wife's birthday is coming up next month and I'm planning a small HP themed surprise party. I have some ideas planned already.
going to serve the food on a long buffet table like in the grand hall
having themed apps, dinner, and cake -aignature cocktail for the party
I know food and drinks. So that's easy for me, but I'm bad at decorating. Need some help with suggestions!
If anyone has a fun idea for decorations, games, or even party favors please help me out!
We are in our mid-30s for what it's worth haha
My daughter wants to have a Harry Potter party for her 11th birthday. I've found some cute ideas online, but I don't want the party to come off as childish. Some of her friends are as obsessed with the series as she is, but others are not. What are some great birthday party ideas for an older kid?
Hello,
I am turning 18 in a couple of months and have decided to throw a Harry Potter themed bonfire party. I am inviting no more than 10 people, so it'll be a pretty small evening gathering.
I already have an idea for the basics, such as a tablecloth, plates, balloons, cupcake toppers, etc. I am not particularly great at planning things, so I am struggling a bit with some stuff.
I want to have party favors and snacks that are on theme, though the main course is going to be bbq with some classic sides (mac n cheese, things like that), but I want to have some snacks for before and after. I found some Bertie Bott's Every Flavor of Beans on Amazon, as well as a mold for Chocolate Frogs, though I may just get the pre-packaged ones. I was also thinking of getting some temporary tattoos for party favors.
I've seen some House fruit skewers, but a guest is allergic to pineapple, so I believe that's out of the question. I have also heard of the cheese broomsticks, which may be a smart-ish idea. I also considered using cheese for Hufflepuff on a skewer, but I'm still unsure (cheese, green grapes, red apple, and blueberries, maybe?).
Do y'all have any more suggestions for themed party favors or snacks for some 16-18 year olds from GA at a bonfire? Or any advice on how to run the party smoothly?
Any and all advice and suggestions are wanted.
EDIT: Some of the guests are not very into HP, they're just friends I want to be around to celebrate the milestone of adulthood.
