[Harry Potter] Why the Wizarding World is so far behind in every social development?
Is Harry Potter World worth the visit?
Personally, unless you're running around looking for hidden easter eggs (such as runaway snitches) then a full day in each is probably overkill. However you mention 3 hour lines, which 99% of the time is a bad thing (except in the wwohp, because the line and scenery are half the fun) - if you want to avoid the lines, go off season. My wife and I have been twice (obviously only to hogsmead) - once in late april, and once in mid february, and neither time were lines longer than 10 minutes... usually just walk in and get on the next carriage that comes through.
If you are a potterhead, it's definitely worth it... The food in general is a bit of a let down for me, except for the butterbeer (which is amazing.) The extra bits in the background and scenery are really what makes all the difference. Seek out the unadvertised things around the area (chior, bathrooms, things of that nature) and enjoy the wizard in world... but take some time to explore other areas too... there's a lot to be done, and the parks are a ton of fun.

Wizarding World Orlando
My wife and I went back in November. Here’s my list.
-
Get park-to-park tickets so you can ride the Hogwarts express between Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. The ride is different both ways. If you can swing unlimited Xpress passes for every day, then do so. It will get expensive.
-
Get wands and do some of the interactive spells across both locations. Wands are $60ish a piece. You can watch the “wand ceremony” at either location. They usually pick a kid. It’s cheesy but kinda cool.
-
Watch the dragon spit fire in Diagon alley. Happens every 10 minutes on the zero.
-
Watch the Christmas light show in Hogsmeade. They shine lights on the Hogwarts castle. It is absolutely stunning. Happens at dusk; runs every 20 minutes till park close.
-
Ride Escape from Gringotts, Harry’s Forbidden Journey, Hagrid’s Magical Adventure, and Flight of the Hippogriff.
-
If you can catch the Goblet of Fire themed show in Hogsmeade then go for it. Basically people just dress up from Beaubaux and Durmstrang. It’s kinda cool cause their costumes look straight from the movie.
-
Try Butterbeer. You can get it three ways. Hot, cold, or frozen. I think it’s best hot. It’s like $8.50 a piece. You can only get it hot at the Three-broomsticks, Leaky Cauldron, or a corner store by the bathrooms at Diagon Alley. I forget the name.
-
Make a reservation to eat breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron or Three-broomsticks for breakfast. The food is so-so but you get the experience.
-
Feel free to check out all the stores. All the merch stores have most of the same stuff +- a few items. Everything is expensive. So be ready.
-
Throughout both locations you’ll find kinda unique “easter eggs.” If you stop by Borgin and Burkes in Knockturn Alley, you’ll find the vanishing cabinet Malfoy used and you’ll hear a bird tweeting inside.
-
I recommend visiting both locations at night. There’s an interactive spell location by the bathrooms in Diagon Alley where you can make the lights in a window light up.
I think that’s everything. The whole experience truly is incredible! Hope you have a blast!
