Hi GeraldParkhurst,
Thank you for your response.
If this issue is started after the update, I would suggest you to do a system restore and check. Restore points are generated when you install a new app, driver, or Windows update, and when you create a restore point manually.
Note: Restoring your PC won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.
- Press Windows key and R keytogether at the keyboard.
- In Run dialog box, type: rstrui and hit enter.
- Click next on the ‘System restore’ window and select the restore point.
- Click on Scan for affected programs. This will show up all the affected programs and the drivers.
- Click next and proceed further with the instructions.
If you’re not seeing any restore points, it might be because system protection isn’t turned on. To check, go to the Control Panel, search for Recovery, and then select Recovery > Configure System Restore > Configure and make sure Turn on system protection is selected.
Hope it helps.

Version is 1803 OS Build 17134.407
Steps 1,2,3 were tried to no avail. PC is not finding the HDMI port.
One of the recent updates did this since it did work 2 weeks ago. Is there a patch update that gets HDMI back? I am using an HP laptop.
Device ID is F8FC0B55-2ADE-442W-B663-6C6C9C73CD1E
Product ID is 00325095980-39440-AAOEM
Just what the title says, I have my HDMI plugged into my GPU and I get a signal to my monitor, but it doesn't show in the device manager (even with hidden items shown), and the computer runs like it's using an iGPU.
GPU is Intel Arc A580
Motherboard is Asus B550 Plus AC-HES
OS is Windows 21H2 (not activated yet)
I have enabled Resizable BAR
Can anyone help?

Hi Ryan,
I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.
HDMI port will not be listed in the device manager. It should show your GPU under Display Adapters. Assuming it is missing,
Does the GPU appear if you click View>Show Hidden Devices in the Device Manager?
Please note the error code and let me know in the next reply.
I eagerly anticipate your response.
it doesn't show GPU, it shows intel(R) UHD Graphics 605
Hi there.
I have an Asus expertbook p1503 cva, that doesn't detect it's HDMI port (It doesn't show up in the device manager at all.)
We are trying to connect to it a secondary monitor, but even though the monitor itself detect that the cable was plugged in, it doesn't show any image. We've been through the basic troubleshooting (display settings, detecting the monitor, etc, everything We've found online, including updating and reinstalling the driver) but so far nothing worked.
I've found out that the HDMI port is completely missing from the device manager, as if it was manually removed, or cannot be detected.
Assuming there weren't any physical damage, how can I solve this situation?
Os: win 11 24h2 (26100.4351) The machine itself is barely used, nothing critical was installed on it. Driver: factory included Intel UHD graphics (I can't determine the chipset version without taking the laptop apart, and I want to avoid that.)
