May 11, 2019Need help, I bought an Hdmi Splitter, so I can extend and use 2 monitors at once (Not Duplicate) But it is acting as if both monitors are 1 display and the other display is my laptop screen.
As far as I know, the splitter sends 1 signal, the splitter copies the signal to both outputs. Windows can't recognise 2 monitors on one output. More on reddit.com

An HDMI splitter splits the signal, one signal, to two monitors. Your laptop only sees it as one monitor. If the laptop has only one video output, you could buy a docking station or USB video adapter to add a second monitor. More on reddit.com
