ok so update i have figured out the problem. my headset used a 4 pin trrs and i needed an adaptor to change it. should've known since my pc had a separate port for the headset and mic. sorry for wasting time.

I have an AIO in which there are 2 audio slots one for mic input the other for audio output. I dont really have a mic except the one on my headphones. When i plug in my headphones into the audio out put it works fine except it doesnt recognize my mic. So when using discord, zoom or just playing games, it always takes my built in mic from my AIO, which is of course not very good. So how do i remove the mic headphone jack so that it takes my audio output and input from my headphones?

Well this depends, can the Auxiliary port handle microphone audio? Not all Aux ports are built the same and some can only handle sending audio out and not taking audio in. Similar to how HDMI ports on laptops typically only send video out and not take video in. I suggest looking for a desk mic chief.

You can't remove it, since it's not designed that way. What you need to do is use a splitter that with separate the speakers and mic channel from the headphones into two different jacks. Then use those to plug them into the stereo out and mic in. If your headset carries both the mic and the headphone signal on the same 3.5 mm connector, then all you need is a cheap adapter like this to split the microphone and headphone signals into two separate 3.5 mm connectors for your PC.

I used to have one like that. The computer won't recognise input through the speaker Jack, and won't send sound out the microphone Jack. You'll need two separate ones. One will only be a microphone, the other will only be headphones.
