I have a headset with only one jack input, but my PC has two separate jacks for audio and microphone. Could anyone recommend some budget-friendly headsets with the two inputs I need?

Hi Reece,
I'm Amr, an independent advisor.
It seems your headset has a single 3.5mm audio jack that combines both the audio and microphone channels. In this case, you may need a splitter adapter to separate the audio and microphone channels into two separate 3.5mm jacks.
This will allow you to connect both the audio and microphone channels to your device, enabling you to use both the headphones and the mic simultaneously.
You can find these adapters online or at electronics stores.
They are often called "headset splitters" or "audio/mic splitters."
Make sure to get one that has two male 3.5mm jacks (one for audio and one for the microphone) and one female 3.5mm jack (to connect your headset).
Once you have the splitter, connect it to your device, and then plug your headset into the splitter.
This should allow you to use both the headphones and the microphone at the same time.
I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

ok so update i have figured out the problem. my headset used a 4 pin trrs and i needed an adaptor to change it. should've known since my pc had a separate port for the headset and mic. sorry for wasting time.
I have an AIO in which there are 2 audio slots one for mic input the other for audio output. I dont really have a mic except the one on my headphones. When i plug in my headphones into the audio out put it works fine except it doesnt recognize my mic. So when using discord, zoom or just playing games, it always takes my built in mic from my AIO, which is of course not very good. So how do i remove the mic headphone jack so that it takes my audio output and input from my headphones?
If I get a headset that plugs into either a USB port or just a headphone jack is there a way to make both the headphones and mic work at the same time or am I fucked?
