Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Learn Q&A is public, and we can only provide information. It is beyond our capability to assist directly with the account or login-related issues.

Microsoft Support agent will not be of any help, they will likely recommend you to try the Account Recovery Form and Sign-in Helper Tool, if you haven’t tried it already.

The Microsoft Account Recovery is currently the only official way to recover your account. You can try it up to twice a day.

If it’s already been a few weeks, you can check this page: "Account recovery unsuccessful" https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/account-recovery-unsuccessful-dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53 it includes extra tips from Microsoft that could improve your chances.

If the form hasn’t worked after several attempts, you can try reaching out to Microsoft support directly.

Use another personal Microsoft account you currently have access to or one you can create:

  • Here is the link: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
  • Type this keyword and press Enter: Contact Support.
  • At the bottom, click "Sign in to contact support" and sign in with your Personal Microsoft account (Not work or school account), or click "Contact Support" if you're already signed in.
  • In Product and services, select "Windows".
  • In Category, select "Technical support."
  • Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

It seems to be impossible to talk to a human at MS. In previous posts a person who states they are "community support" just repeats the useless directions that lead you to chat support where they do not answer or are no help at all. More on learn.microsoft.com

r/Office365 on Reddit: How do I speak to an actual human for support?
December 5, 2024 -

I've caller every single number on Microsofts support page and even went as far as trying the same numbers while speaking a different language. ALL I GET ARE STUPID AUTOMATED MACHINES!

I essentially need to create a service request to replace a damaged device for a client. It will stay powered on but only with the charger. This is the second user this has happened to.

The first user, I simply created a service request on the ms 365 tenant and got the issue resolved within a week. We got a replacement device before shipping out the damaged device and closed the case.

Now, I don't get the option to create a case with ms support. Their surface support portal doesn't let me create a service request with the issue and advises I contact support. They essentially have me going in circles now. I'm wondering if anyone has had better luck speaking to an ms support agent regarding damaged surface devices.
