(Hermes courrier, Europe) Does anyone perhaps know why normal shipments are shown as "Returns"? Is it because each shipment first shipped/"returned" to Hermes Belgium? I´ve bought multiple labels, sending from EU to US, they all appear as a "Return", tracking says "Return to sender In 2 - 4 days"

How do I return or exchange an item ordered via Hermes.com?
Your order will be accepted for refund or exchange if returned in original condition and packaging, and within thirty (30) days from the delivery date, with the exception of personalized product which is not eligible for return. The Hermès Sellier tag must be intact, attached, and free of any alteration or damage where applicable. The returned item(s) must be accompanied by the receipt or a copy. Returning a product for exchange or refund is complimentary. In order to do this, you must return the articles via FedEx using the pre-paid return label provided through your Hermes.com account.
If you wish to return an item received as a gift, you may exchange it for an item(s) of equal value. Please contact us, Customer Service will send you the pre-paid return label by email.
For the Holiday season, the online return policy is extended.
Hermes.com orders that deliver from November 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025 are eligible to be returned for refund or exchange until January 31, 2026.
Returns brought to an Hermès store in the United States are only eligible for exchange or store credit.
The following conditions apply to fragrance returns:
- The product must not be open and must be returned in its original packaging (with transparent film),
- when returning products that may have been damaged during delivery, the client must ensure that the bottle is still hermetically sealed (if this is not the case, contact us).

The following conditions apply to Apple AirTag Hermès returns:
If you have ordered an Apple AirTag Hermès, you must return the AirTag with the leather accessory. The Apple AirTag Hermès must be returned in its original packaging and the battery activation protection must not have been removed. When the activation protection is removed the battery activates and is automatically non-sellable. The Apple AirTag Hermès serial number must be the same as the one listed on the original invoice.
Returning your Apple AirTag Hermès in store must be done in the same country stated in the delivery address.
Products may also be exchanged or returned for a store credit at any Hermès store in the United States within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of delivery. Hermès stores do not offer refunds on any goods purchased on Hermes.com. You will find the list of Hermès stores by clicking on Find a store or listed on the back of the invoice.

At the pick-up shop they didn´t know why is that either.

UPD : The package is travelling to U.S. normally and passing through customs, but with more stops than with DHL. One extra stop at a facility in Belgium, one in a U.K facility. The tracking updates mentioning "return" and notifications like "return to sender In 2 - 4 days" can be ignored, it appears like.

The Hermes tracking on Etsy was unable to load updates past the first 2. The tracking through https://parcelsapp.com/ is a better alternative,
