Help - Is hexagonal tile for my kitchen floor timeless or trendy?
First tile project, large hexagon floor tile. Tips for improvement?
Professionally done hex floor tile. Feedback please? We were told it would not be perfect bc of the way the tile lays but it’s worse than I anticipated. Am I overreacting?
Highly unacceptable. Because of the way the tile lays 🤣 unfortunately that's a crock of shit. Even if the tiles were a bit different in size a grout joint size could have been determined to in order to split the difference therefore give a consistent layout for the tile. I just had to set a hex floor and tiles were up to 1/8 in difference in size, my joints averaged out at 3/16 inch. Even if he's nice he's pulling your leg I've seen guys get fired for leaving a floor like this.

Is hexagon shape tile too trendy?
I'm stuck between choosing an 8" hexagonal concrete-look tile and a 12 x 24 concrete look tile. I'm certain of the concrete look - have other similar floors for several years and not the least bit unhappy with them. But not sure about the hexagon. Very worried I won't like it in 5 years. It's a smallish kitchen with wood cabinets and an island that takes up almost all the space it possibly can, so there is not a large open space with the tile - just the 42" around the island on 3 sides and a bit more on the fourth side. Please don't tell me to do what I love, because I've "loved" a lot of trends in the past that I now hate. I can't trust myself.
