Looking to buy my first dap and was looking in the 100$ price range I landed on these to options but idk which one is better to get . I’m new to the hobby and was wondering which one would be best
Hi!
I had a previous post asking for opinions on the Fiio JM21 and the Hiby R1, and from the comments of that post got mostly recommendations for the JM21.
Between then and now I've done some more research and come across a few more daps that I wanted opinions on compared to the JM21: the Hiby R3 ii gen 2, and the Tempotec V3 Blaze.

Regarding library size, my research tells me that the R3 ii caps out at 50k tracks, which is more than enough for my needs. The JM21 of course has no limit. I haven't been able to find any information on the max track limit of the V3 Blaze, if it even has one. This is important as if it's lower than the other two then this dap is a non-starter for me (for example, I had looked into the Shanling M1 Plus as an option, but it has a max limit of 20k tracks). I have emailed Tempotec looking for more clarity, however I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any info regarding this part.

In terms of battery life, from my research both the R3 ii and the V3 Blaze seem to be pretty good, and much better than the JM21. I keep seeing people say that the battery life on the JM21 is horrible, and if that's the case I might not even bother with it. Of course, any insight yall can give regarding the battery life of either three is appreciated.

Soundwise, I believe all three are good. If I understand correctly, all three daps use completely different chips? To those who have either three, what's the sound like? To those who have multiple, what're they like in comparison to one another? Which of the three do you guys recommend? I listen to a variety of music, so I guess whichever is a jack-of-all trades would be preferred. Again, however, I believe either would be sufficient, as I've only ever used an apple dongle as of now. So any of them would be an upgrade.

I am also open to other suggestions aside from the three, if you have any. I'm not too keen on just getting a dac for my phone right now though, as the main reason I want a dap is to be able to take my entire library with me, offline.
Thank you for whatever help you can give me, it's helped a lot so far with finding something.
I'm looking into getting my first DAP. However I'm unsure what the differences are in terms of different dac chips, and I'm still fuzzy on what "bit-perfect architecture" even means.
I plan to pair the DAP with the HD 600 at some point, though till I can get both a DAP and headphones, I'd be using the DAP with the Sony WH10004XM.
I'm looking for the best DAP I can find that can power the HD 600 on the go, do Bluetooth pass thru, and usb pass thru.
Yeap, finally released. I think I might get this over the JM21 or the M21 as it is a non android and I have been loving the sound signature of Hiby DAPs. The DAC chips are similar and the battery size is similar to the M21 which should last a very long time for offline listening. What do y'all think and are you getting this player?
Hello everyone,
I’m thinking about buying a DAP. I need to switch from mobile to DAP and would appreciate expert suggestions on this.
Which is the best DAP between these two, or can you suggest another option available in this range?
Please help me—I'm very confused; both have mixed reviews, so I would appreciate your guidance.
I’m mostly going to use the Apple Music streaming app or Tidal if I get the subscription, but I’m currently using Apple Music with Kinera CD 2 and Kato.
