Is Hiby R3 Pro Saber worth it?
Hiby R2, R3 Pro (Saber), R5
[Personal Opinion] Fiio M3K vs Hiby R3 Saber.
The He 5xx's are only 18ohms or so, but being planars, they need a lot of wattage to make them sound as they should. In fact I've seen where people drive them with the R3, but to get to a 'listenable' level, the volume is pumped up to around 80/100. And I think you'll be getting distortion as well.
I'll do it properly and go for a full Watt (4X the output of the R3). I'm just trying to work out if to go for a desktop amp or a 'portable' like the Xduoo XD-05 Plus. I just need to find out since the Hiby has its own operating system, not Apple or Android, whether this has any effect on its operation. I doubt it, but better to know for sure. Another bonus is you can change amp boards in it to change the sound signature.

I had an issue getting the R3 PRO Saber to go into LDAC mode with my Sony WH-1000xm4. It would always get stuck on AAC mode when the XM4s where connected via bluetooth. The cause was because it was also paired to my iPad.
GOOD NEWS - If anyone has this issue just turn off the the Pairing-2-devices setting (in the sony Headphones app), then pair the xm4 to the HiBy R3 and the codec on the top-left will show LDAC.

Hello everyone!
I've been tempted to buy a portable music streamer/player, and after a bit of research I've found the Hiby R3 Saber PRO and it seems like a good all-round device. I like that it supports Spotify and Tidal Streaming and also I appreciate its Bluetooth 5.0 capabilities for casual listening on a bluetooth speaker, even though I plan to use it mostly with wired IEMs. Does anyone here own it? Does it look like a good option for you guys?
Thank you in advance and happy listening!
